What cause Hitler to go veggie ?!

Question: What cause Hitler to go veggie !?
Did he do it out of health concern !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
He wasn't vegetarian, he still ate small amounts of meat, but he had a very strange stomach condition that caused constant cramps and pains and cold sweats!. He had gone through a few different diet changes (cutting out carbs, cutting out certain meats) and finally he tried a mostly vegetarian diet, but even then he wasn't entirely vegetarian and enjoyed liver and pate and other non-vegetarian delicacies (after all, he had all the world's luxuries at his fingertips for a while)!. Ultimately cutting out meat didn't help him either, and he only tried a semi-vegetarian diet for a very short time, and only of selifsh reasons!. His constant gastro-intestinal agonies might have been one of the contributing factors for his obsession with human anatomy, bizarre experiments and trying to perfect mankind!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, because of his health!.

Come on guys, that was a perfectly innocent question with a fine and informative answer from Maggie!. The trolls have got everyone on edge and assuming every question is suspect!. I certainly learned something from this question, so thanks WeewewR for asking it!. This is exactly the place to find out about this sort of info and we should be encouraging newbies and making them feel welcome not attacking them on the off chance they are trolling and certainly not using it as an opportunity for attacking each other for taking a different view - whether you agree with the poster above you or not!.

peace guys!.

Edit; I know that this does not make sense now that the three posts above me have been deleted but I am going to leave it that way anyway because I think its important to remember not everyone is stirring!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

He wasn't a vegetarian!. He had a condition that caused him to flatulate and get stomach cramps after meat-eating, so to save face he made it part of his 'Aryan' philosophy and claimed that a 'perfect' man didn't eat meat!. But he still did eat meat, just not much of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some people say he declared himself to be vegetarian to emulate his personal hero, composer Richard Wagner!. Some people say it was for health reasons!. Some people say his public relations team invented the "Hitler is a vegetarian" story so he would appear to conform to the Wagnerian ideal of German culture!.

I doubt that he really was vegetarian!. A newspaper articles wrote about how he "occasionally deviated from his vegetarian diet to feast on ham!." A former chef of Hitler's claimed she regularly served him meat and he was particularly fond of roast squab (a type of game bird)!. He seems more like the "I'm vegetarian but I eat chicken" type!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know that he loved animals, but german diets are filled with meat, and they wouldn't obviously be compassionate with livestock!. I'm pretty sure he did it out of health concerns!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mostly out of health concerns!. And his doctor was batshit insane!. Many people though his doctor was a spy trying to kill him but it turns out he was just crazy and a bad doctor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need to remember that no one is all good or all bad!.!.!. being a vegetarian was one of the good things that Hitler did, and I really do think he did it out of a love for animals!.
