Do vegetarians feed their pets meat?!

I hope so, unfortunatly some don't!.

I nearly cried when i saw a woman's snake, a boa that had been fed on carrots ffs!. She said it didn't need meat because she didn't eat it and didn't want to give it live food!.

Then she shouldn't have had the snake!

Sorry, rant over!. But i love snakes!.

If you don't want to deal with meat, then please don't buy pets that need it!

I knew vegans that would give their pets vegan food too!. I sometimes throw food off my balcony for stray cats and dogs and one night I made something soy-tofu!.!. it turned out really bad and I threw it out for the cats and they fought over it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My cat gets meat flavored dry cat food!. Cats, unlike people, need some meat in their diet, and who am I to dictate to my cat what she can eat!?

I guess it depends what pet!.!.!.I have cats, and I don't think it's very fair to force them to eat veggie stuff! also, unless you make them house cats, you can't stop them catching mice and birds etc!. But obviously with animals like guinea pigs, it's not a problem!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Usually, although there are some good vegetarian dog foods!.

Cats really do need meat!. I dated a vegan who said some vegans feed their cats all vegan food and give their cats a supplement, Taurine!. This supplement comes from meat so it defeats the purpose!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a cat, so yes!. After I went veg, I tried to find the natural brands at indy-type pet supply stores!. My cat isn't a tofu fan, but she does love potatoes!. When my boyfriend gets his veggie dogs and tater tots, she goes nuts for the tots!. One time when I was having falafel and fries, I dropped a fry, and he saw her gobble it up quickly!.

She also used to like to lick the dregs of my soy ice cream, but I'm guessing she doesn't like the flavor I buy now!. She'll stare at me while I eat it, trying not to meow (I tell her if she's good and doesn't pester me, she can get a lick), but when I give her the bowl, she doesn't care!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
