Have you inspired anyone else to go veg?!
I know that many vegetarians and vegans try to lead by example!.!.!.!.how many of you have had people go veg from watching your good-spirited actions!? I'm not talking about those who guilt people into it!.!.!.!.but the ones who had such a positive life change that it inspired others!. Who was it that was encouraged by you and made the switch!? My husband is an omni (but open-minded about his diet) and I don't pressure him to give up meat, but I'm hoping one day he'll make that decision on his own!. Show me there's hope!! =DWww@FoodAQ@Com

My best friend Kai just told me what an inspiration I am to him and that he recently gave up beef and pork!. He hopes one day to go vegan!! I never said a bad word to what he eats, he just realized that it's completely do-able by my example and that it's terrible what happens to the animals, Earth, and health!. I couldn't be happier with his newfound decision!.
My friend Victoria went completely vegan after she asked me why I made the switch!. I told her exactly why I chose to do so and she decided she could no longer justify eating animal products!. She's such a great girl!
I'm excited to see such changes and I never put down anyone!. I guess it's true that if you show the positives of a veg lifestyle and avoid showing the negatives of omnivorism you will see amazing results!.
I hope your hubby decides to go veg at some point in his life, that would be a wonderful thing for you!.

After I showed my hubby videos from PETA and my PETA vegetarian starter kit pamphlet, he considered going veggie! He still loves to eat meat, but he prefers my chi'ken nuggets over real ones any day!.
He also grown a liking to veggie burgers, which is cool!. :)
I'm not really the best example because I still eat a lot of sugary food!. I mostly get teased for not eating meat and people talk about how veggies and fruits experience pain when they're being plucked out of the tree or pulled from the ground!.
At least I inspired my hubby to eat veggie burgers and ch'ken nuggets though!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's a good question!. My best friend is in the process of eliminating red meat from his diet!. He told me the other day that he's adding pork to that list and is trying to get into liking fish!.
He said that he wants to eat healthier and has asked me for help!. Even though he's devout about his chicken, every little bit helps!. I could see him making the "big" switch eventually!. I'm going to support him and let him go at his own pace - just be there if he needs me!. I'd like to think that I might have a little influence on his decision!.!.!.but if not, that's okay too! I love him and will assist where I can!.

Yes, I have never pressured anyone to become vegan, but two of my friends were very interested so I gave them suggestions!. One friend is vegetarian now, and the other is vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My husband is from Wyoming - where men eat meat! Unfortunatley his whole family thinks that if you do not eat meat you are gay! - seriously they do!
Anyway, when I changed from being a vegetarian to vegan, at first it was really hard for him to understand!. - even though I had been a veg!. all my life!.
Lately I see progress, because we have started to laugh about the issue!. Which is actually really good, because it is opening conversations and we are able to talk about the issue without being so tense!.
He seems to understand a lot more!. So I think over time (for health reasons) he will decrease his meat intake!.
Plus we do not have meat in the house as I do not cook it!. - tried to once, and I hated it!. So really his meat intake has been halved anyways!
Now, children we have both said they will eat what I cook at home and they can make their own choices!. But I feel that my child will be a vegetarian just because I will show them the healthy, fun and cool things about being a vegetarian!.
To any haters that say it unhealthy to be vegetarian child! - erm,, I was a vegetarian child and I am prefectly healthy! -
edit: - my in-laws will just have to learn to respect my vegetarian child!. and if they don't, well I will have to start pointing out how fat and unhealthy they are! And of course I will do it in a joking way, so I make my point but still keep things light!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, because I accept people's choice of lifestyle as I hope they accept mine!.
However, I neither serve meat nor dairy products (we are vegan) to anyone who comes for dinner!. My children grew up being vegetarians and tried meat at my mother's place, which they didn't like at all, and it was them who made me become vegan after all!.
My fiance eats meat, but has actually cut down for health reasons and loves my vegan cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i haven't inspired any full fledged veggies but i've inspired a lot to reduce their meat intake!. the soy/"fake" meats really really helped that!.!.!. once they saw they can get stuff that tastes just as good and is healthier as well, they were happy to start switching their meat out for it!. my bf was a pretty big carnivore when we met and it's taken a while but he eats almost completely veg now!.!.!. i never asked him too at all!.!. he just started trying my foods, caring more about his health, and reading up on the meat industry and started doing it more on his own!.!.!. he in turn has persuaded some of his family to try some more veggie foods!.!.!. i've also gotten my dad and stepmother to eat less meat!.!.!. and my brother just called me yesterday and asked for my veggie food recommendations cuz him and his gf want to give it a shot (not completely, but less meat)!.!.!. so i think it's all great!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I come from a long-line of meat-eaters!. I was the only vegan in the town just a few months ago, but I have inspired my brother and 2 friends to become vegetarian!.!.!. Not quite vegan, but it is better than nothing!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I had a friend who was in "love" with meat!. But when I went veg she saw that I was getting healthier, had more energy, felt good about what I ate, and I'm now just an all around happier person!. She is in in the process of becoming a vegetarian, and so far she has cut out red meat and poultry, she's cutting out fish soon! And we both hope to go vegan together =)Www@FoodAQ@Com
My family ended up cutting their meat consumption after I became vegetarian and they've been eating more vegetables and fruits and trying out different veggie friendly recipes!. I haven't forced any of them to go completely vegetarian, but knowing that I helped them realize that they don't need to eat meat as much as they used to is great!.
I also helped many of my friends understand the vegetarian diet and let them try some of the food I eat!. They were so surprised at how great it tastes and it gave them a completely different outlook on veg*ns!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
