Answers:
It depends on the reasons of why you want to be a vegetarian!. If you are passionate enough about it then voice your opinion to your mum and dad!. They should respect your veiws being your parents and they shouldn't force you to eat meat!.

If you are that passionate about not eating meat, then refuse to eat it!. I'm a vegetarian and if somebody was forcing me to eat meat I'd rather go a week without no food!. You are not a baby and you are clearly old enough, and mature enough to make your own decisions!. Tell them this, or better yet - get them to read this!.

When I became a vegetarian I was quite sick for sometime because I wasn't taking any iron supplements or proteins!. So if you are serious about going vegetarian then make sure you get some iron liquid or tablets and some complete protein tablets!. They stop you from getting sick!. You can also get a lot of iron from lentils, tofu, greens like spinach etc!. And for complete protein you can get from peanuts, hazlenuts, almonds, cashews, beans, peas, soy beans, soy milk etc!. also, make sure not to consume cheese that contains rennet/rennin in it - because rennin is part of an animal (look it up on google), and also gelatin!. Check the ingredients on everything you eat - gelatin is everywhere!. Gelatin is jelly from an animals stomach and it is found in most deserts and creams and custards etc!.

Going vegetarian is a great way to help save the animals and the environment - so good for you!. Welcome to the club!

You should also check out the PETA website and order a free vegetarian starter kit!. It contains a lot of information of what you should eat and what you shouldn't, also some really tasty recipes!. Here's the link!.!.!. http://www!.peta!.org/Www@FoodAQ@Com

How can people control you food intake!? Simply don't eat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!. just dont eat meat
2!. yes!. it is immoral!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just dont eat it, in a way its a lot better if you dont eat meat, try soyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Well they should be supporting you to stop eating meat cuz that is a good thing!. and why dont they want you to be one!?

Just tell them that you want to stop eating poor defenseless little animals!.!.
and if they dont hear you out than just dont eat meat and how are they gonna notice!?
Just tell them that is something that you believe in and want to do and you love the animals and dont want to kill themWww@FoodAQ@Com

Just say no back to them and stop eating it!. That's what I did!. They will get over it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you're a minor, parents can be your biggest obstacle if you want to be a vegetarian!.Tell them why!. also, tell them that you will make sure you get proper nutrition!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try explaining your reasoning to them, they might be more understanding if they are more educated about your decision!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know how you feel, my parents weren't supportive at first either!. But, I told them to back off, and that its my decision and I have the right to make my own choices because its my life not theirs!. Tell them that (but be nice about so they don't get mad or offended), and also tell them its good for your health, the environment, and the animals!!!!! Tell them a good parent is supposed to be supportive of their child especially because becoming a vegetarian is NOT bad or immoral thing to do!. Tell them regardless of what they say they cannot force you to eat meat because one day (when you are 18) you will legally be an adult and responsible for yourself!. Tell them whether they allow you to become a vegetarian today or even if you have to wait until you no longer live with them sooner or later you will be a vegetarian and you'd appreciate it if they supported you!.

*also, no it is not bad for a man to be a vegetarian!. Becoming a vegetarian or vegan is a very wise, good hearted thing to do!. Many great men are vegetarians: Ghandi was, George Bernard Shaw was, Sir Paul McCartney (from the Beatles) is a vegetarian, so is Dustin Hoffman, Leonardo Da Vinci was, Sir Isaac Newton was, and Dexter Scott King is (Martin Luther King Jr!.'s son), and the list goes on!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well i'm kinda in the same situation, cept its just my mom who doesn't agree b/c of the whole lacking nutrition, esp!. protein!. just learn alternatives that you can eat, find recipies, and do your hw in learning how to stay healthy w/out meat!. and no its not bad for a man to want to be a veg!. men have feelings too, right!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know why people think its wrong to be a vegetarian or vegan!. Just explain why you want to be a vegan/vegetarian and its good for your health!. Do it in a nice way so they wont ground you for a year! lol and its not thier choice or your sisters choice!. God bless : )Www@FoodAQ@Com

Read the book "Diet For A New America" by John Robbins (and if you're up for it, "The China Study" by T!.Colin Campbell!. It's a fantastic book but it you might find it hard to get into at the start!.) and then ask your parents to read them (or quote out of them!)!.

Ultimately, it's your choice but it's better to be informed and be able to have a response when they say that you won't get enough protein (there is absolutely NO danger of that happening)!. Ask them to give you a month where you can be vegetarian and if you're still healthy at the end of that month, ask for another month, etc!.

It's really important that you learn as much as you can about vegetarian nutrition in that time and keep yourself healthy!.

I always suggest to people to learn to cook!. If you offer to cook your own food, it takes the load off your mum (which is often also a concern) and it will also create interest and usually they will have a taste and like it (although initially they may be a bit dramatic and say it's awful and meat is better and the usual resistant-omnivore comments)!.

It's a great thing for a man to want to be vegetarian!. Believe me, there are plenty of hot vegetarian girls hoping to meet a veg guy! Wow, a guy that cares what goes into his gut and thinks before he does something!?!? Jackpot!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
