Vegetairan diet vs. Regular Diet (meat)?!

Question: Vegetairan diet vs!. Regular Diet (meat)!?
What's healthier!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There are numerous advantages to eating veg*n (vegetarian & vegan) including less risk for colon cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and more!.

This does not mean a veg*n could not eat poorly!. I'm sure some do!. But if you ate an optimum veg*n diet vs an optimum omnivore diet I believe the veg*n diet would edge them out in health benefits!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they are equally good and equally bad

if a meat eater doesnt eat healthy (veggies ect) then they will have health problems just as if a veggie decides to eat cheese pizza or tofu without being balanced!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Every study that I've seen in the past shows that life expentancies for both groups are about the same!. Although, Seventh-Day Adventists are the oldest demographic in America and their faith practices vegetarianism!. Usually if there is a difference, it's only a difference of 1 or 2 years!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarian is healthier!. Vegetarians are 50% less likely to develop heart disease, and they have 40% of the cancer rate of meat eaters!., this goes along with lower cholestrol levels, and blood pressure!., these are a few among a list of other positives if you are a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i don't think either lives longer than the other!. there are many other influences on one's lifespan other than diet!. when you take into account smoking, alcohol, exercise, genetics, career choice, etc!. etc!. etc!.!.!.!.!.!.!.there is almost NO WAY to have definitive proof that one group lives longer than another!. i think both diets CAN be healthy, but i think that vegetarians are generally more aware of nutritional needs because they are so careful about what they're eating!. everthing in moderation!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on whether or not the individual is a healthy eater!. I'm a veggie, but i eat no more healthy or unhealthy than i did when i ate meat!. I am now at much less risk of bowel cancer and heart disease oh and tape worms of course, but it is more difficult to acquire protein and certain vitamins in my diet, I manage it of course as I take iron supplements and what not to prevent having low iron and I eat new things now to restore protein!. I doubt I am any healthier than before, but I probably will be healthier in the future than if I had eaten meat, as the chances of bowel cancer will decrease and whatnot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a Vegan, and of course I think being Vegan is best, but to each his own!. The health prospects are just one reason to go Veg!. Here is an article on the health aspects of this lifestyle!.

It depends on your body!. Some people, like me, will never be able to be vegetarian because my body actually requires animal matter to survive, not to mention as a dancer I need high levels of animal proteins for the strength to dance!. I don't need much humans don't in general!. Everyone is different!. Consult your doctor and get second and third opinions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A regular diet is the best for your body and health!. You always want a balanced diet and vegetairians can't really have that because they can't get the protein and fiber that your bodies need to be healthy, which is why it is good to eat some kind of meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarian diets are much healthier if you eat right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They're both just as healthy!. I think the average North American omnivore's diet these days is pretty unhealthy (lots of saturated fat is bad for you), but you can also be extremely unhealthy as a vegetarian!.

To be healthy either as a vegetarian or an omnivore, you do have to pay attention to what you're eating!. As long as you're careful though, both diets are great options!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not a vegetarian, but I know that it is harder for them to get all the protein they need in their diet, because meat has so much of it!. But they can eat other things to replace the protein in meat, but i still think it's better to eat meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
