Why is ethical for lions to eat other animals but not for humans?!
Answers:
The most ethical man of all times Jesus the Christ ate meat!. Clearly it is not unethical to eat it!.
--------------------edit ------------------------
Are those of you marking me down, implying Christ was not ethical!? There may be many reasons you prefer to not eat meat, but to claim its unethical to eat meat is calling Christ unethical!.

Lions will die without meat, humans will not!.
Gadfly down below!.!.!.there is no evidence that Jesus ate meat!. If you haven't noticed the bible is a book!. No evidence there!. also, wasn't Jesus inherently flawed because he was man!? IF JESUS DID EAT MEAT HE WAS UNETHICAL!. PERIOD!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lions need meat!.
Humans don't!.
Simple!
(If humans needed meat, I certainly would have died many years ago!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Same reason that it's "ethical" for one male lion to have five mates but humans can usually only have one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Apart from the fact that this question has been asked a million times and has become stale by now!.!.!. lions follow their instincts, humans have a free will and a brain to think (at least some of them)Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's not necessary for human survival to consume meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
!.Humans are at the TOP of the food chain, we have developed over the centuries,we have been provided food, which is why other mammals eat lower on the food chain, animals eat what nature has provided!.
If Humans eat other Humans it is Cannibalism!. It is like going against Nature!. It is not an acceptable deed!. Besides, Humans are like poison as a meal!. Our bodies are not meant for that, thus,The Garden Of Eden!. You do not even need your appendix any more because you are not to eat raw meat!!
Nor Human Flesh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lions don't breed the animals in captivity and confine them while they fatten them up before putting them on lorries to take them to slaughter houses!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Lions can't decide to live on grain and vegetables!. A lion must eat meat or die!. A vegetarian diet for humans, on the other hand, is actually healthier than one that includes meat!. Whereas lions must eat meat to survive, humans eat meat simply for the pleasure of tasting meat!.
also -- lions don't raise their prey on factory farms, where animals are forced to endure a lifetime of suffering and confinement!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Animals have neither ethics nor morals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Look at the difference between a human and meat eating lion!. Honestly I don't know how you have to ask to figure this out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
we dont need it, and a lion doesnt walk to the supermarket and buy a package of dead animal that was raise on a factory farm - thats the circle of life!. (for them)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes!. Humans abide by different natural laws!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
For one thing, lions aren't bound by a system of ethics!. And even if they were, it would not be unethical for them to eat another animal because it is the only way they can survive, being obligate carnivores and all!. Humans have a choice and, as with our other choices, we have the responsibility to weigh the ethical implications!. Given that I can thrive on a plant-based diet and reduce the amount of suffering I was responsible for, when I weighed the implications of eating meat, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't an ethically defensible decision!. You're free to form your own conclusion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Okay, really slowly now for the millionth time:
There is a big difference between a lioness bagging a gazelle for dinner and what humans do to obtain meat!. I mean, lions don't set up animal confinement facilities, breed animals, pump them full of antibiotics and hormones, confine them in ever-smaller spaces, truck them long distances and kill them to the tune of 10 billion a year in the U!.S!.
Lions are c-a-r-n-i-v-o-r-e-s!. They HAVE to eat meat!. Humans, on the other hand, can do quite well without eating meat!.
Don't be obtuse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because UNLIKE us, they NEED meat to survive :) also, they can't grow plants!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
because it is the lion's dharma to eat meat!. just as sugar's dharma is to be sweet and grass's dharma is to be green, the lions are supposed to eat meat!. plain and simple, there is no changing it!. but humans are above dharma and have free will!. so we do not have to eat meat (and aren't supposed to)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Lions, obligate carnivores, require meat to survive, as do all felines!. Though felines can consume vegetable matter, their bodies do not break it down properly and are not able to glean vitamins and proteins from it like humans can!.
Human beings are omnivores!.
also, lions do not factory farm their food!. They hunt it!. If some person goes out and hunts a cow down for dinner, I have no issue with that!. I still wouldn't eat it, but that has more to do with the fact that meat makes me violently ill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Excellent question! Been asking that for years!. Why are we the only animal that must question it's place in the food chain!?
I guess the one point they have is the way we do it!. If it's unnecessarily cruel, should we reexamine that!? I say yes, even though the lion doesn't give a damn!.
Question the *means* not the natural behavior!.
Antony is lame!. We are omnivores-- plain and simple!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
