There are no real health pros or cons to becoming a vegetarian!.
The only thing you will need to worry about if you become a vegetarian is getting enough protein into your diet!.

I am a meat eater and I'm far healthier than most vegetarians, but then again I eat about the same amount of fruits and veggies as they do, plus lean meat (something that they don't eat!.)

If you want to be a healthy person then eat a healthy home cooked meal and get plenty of exercise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pros is good karma , and not supporting animal cruelty, cons is no meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being a vegetarian can help stop Global Warming because less of the earth's resources are used, for example getting meat from a cow, which needs water and food to grow, then the processes of killing the cow, then transporting the meat, while the amount of earth's resources used to transport other foods, like vegetables, are much less!.

also, people who are vegetarians tend to be leaner and healthier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'd likely be getting enough fiber and vitamins in your diet!. But you would have to be careful to make sure you get enough protein!. also eating well as a vegetarian can be expensive, you need a lot of fresh produce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pros:
- you will help the environment by reducing the demand on natural resources such as fossil fuels, water, grain and land!.
- you will prevent the need for land clearing for the production of animal feed!.
- you will reduce your carbon foot print
- a veg*n diet requires less water to sustain
- you will be helping prevent the unnecessary death and slaughter of thousands of animals
- you will feel healthier and happier knowing you are contributing to such a worthy cause!.
- you will not be supporting an industry which promotes death and suffering

cons:
- some people will never understand your reasoning to become vegetarian or vegan!. so you must be prepared to defend your life style and moral choice if it is questioned or attacked!. this rarely happens in real life, but happens all too often on line!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess you'd be healthier than the AVERAGE person as a vegetarian, but for optimal health certain lean meats and fish needed to be included in your diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
