Do you think that ALL VEGETARIANS ENJOY an excellent health?!
I am giving you some "food for thought"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
yes they do !. Healthy vegetarian diets support a lifetime of good health and provide protection against numerous diseases, including our country’s three biggest killers: heart disease, cancer, and strokes!.Research has shown that vegetarians are 50 percent less likely to develop heart disease, and they have 40 percent of the cancer rate of meat-eaters!. Plus, meat-eaters are nine times more likely to be obese than vegans are!.
The consumption of meat, eggs, and dairy products has also been strongly linked to osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, asthma, and male impotence!.
A plant-based diet is the best diet for kids, too: Studies have shown that vegetarian kids grow taller and have higher IQs than their classmates, and they are at a reduced risk for heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and other diseases in the long run!. Studies have shown that even older people who switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet can prevent and even reverse many chronic ailments!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course not, vegetarians simply do not eat meat!. However unlikely it is in theory someone could eat only lettuce and be malnourished so I wouldn't say EVERY vegetarian enjoys excellent health, but on average I'd say they are healthier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Not all do!. There appears to be a growing body of research to prove that a vegetarian diet has many advantages over other diets!. One of these may very well be that more fresh fruits and greens are incorporated into the diet!. Processed foods are harder to digest and have more of an impact on health!. Try the 'six-no' diet for one week, and see how you feel:
No coffee or caffeinated drinks
No alcohol
No dairy
No sugar
No yeast
No meat
Chances are, if you use what's left you will feel amazingly alive every day and have a lot more energy!. I did this for two weeks, with a little bit of cheating on the weekends, and it was a wonderful experience which I can only recommend!. Just to know that there is a difference!.
If you eat a lot of dairy (like cheese), a lot of pastries and other processed foods, sugar, refined flour etc!. then you damage your cells almost as much as if you eat meat!.
I seem to be very healthy compared to other people in my age group!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know vegetarians that eat chips and candy all the time!.
Just because it doesn't have meat, doesn't mean it's healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. It's possible to eat mostly vegetarian junk food and be unhealthy!. Coke and fries are technically meat-free!.
As a group, though, vegetarians are healthier than meat-eaters!. The American Dietetic Association is one of the nation's leading nutrition experts!. It states: "Vegetarians have been reported to have lower body mass indices than nonvegetarians, as well as lower rates of death from ischemic heart disease; vegetarians also show lower blood cholesterol levels; lower blood pressure; and lower rates of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and prostate and colon cancer!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course not!.
Veg*ns (vegetarians and vegans) can eat unhealthy just as much as anyone else!.
However I believe on average more veg*ns are healthier because of the diet in general and because people who are interested in health tend to be more attracted to the lifestyle!.
In short a good portion of veg*ns enjoy excellent health, many to most good health, while a few of them, due to poor eating habits that fall within the same dietary category, do not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not all vegetarians are healthy!.
I know a few junk food vegetarians and they are not healthy!. But generally I think most of the vegetarians I know in real life are healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, not all vegetarians enjoy excellent health!.
It is possible to eat an unhealthy vegetarian diet or a healthy one, just as it is possible to eat a healthy diet that includes meat, or an unhealthy diet that includes meat!.
In addition, vegetarians are as susceptible to random diseases (such as most cancers) as anyone elseWww@FoodAQ@Com

I know a few people who claim to be vegetarians and not a single one of them is healthier than i am!. they get sick at the drop of a hat and they are always hungry, they have to snack constantly!.
the only reason that humans were able to evolve as we did is that we started eating high energy and high efficiency meat which allowed us to eat less often and focus on other things!.
We became an agrarian society rather than hunter gatherers!. Our entire existence is based on the concept of three square meals a day featuring some amount of meat!. if we werent made for it then we have certainly adapted over the millenia to incorporate a moderate amount of meat!.
Any responsible doctor will want to advise you if you go all veggie to be very careful to balance your proteins because without meat its not that easy!.
meat is a complete protein!. no veggie alternatives can say that you have to combine them correctly or you will be lacking
thats the reality
IRMIE : What exactly are the cells you damage by eating meat!? you threw that out there with no qualification whatsoever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If they don't eat properly of course not, but those that ensure they get all their nutrients should, unless a factor other than diet is causing illness!. Personally, as an omnivore I was sick almost every day!. When I turned vegetarian I had more energy, I now rarely get sick and I generally feel much better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Of course not!. Someone who eats nothing but peanuts would technically be a "vegetarian", but they'd also be dead fairly quickly!. I'm a vegetarian, but I'll freely admit that it's just as easy to have an unhealthy vegetarian diet as a healthy meat-eating one!. You need to watch what you eat whatever your standpoint!. But bear in mind that most vegetarians do it because of ethical rather than dietary reasons; do you think all meat-eaters enjoy a clean conscience!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
I agree with ~~~~ash!.
Vegetarians are better persons too, especially those of us who are vegetarians out of love for animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course not!. Excellent health is a function of genes, diet, activity level, environment and other factors!. Statistics bear out the fact that vegetarians enjoy a lower risk of certain diseases and conditions that are diet-related (the so-called "diseases of affluence!.") But statistics refer to groups and don't say anything at all about individual members of the group!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
