It really depends on what type of vegetarian you are referring to!. There are about 5 different kinds of vegetarian and then there is vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Are you talking about just vegetarians or vegans!? If it's vegans, you can cut out refined sugars (white or granulated) because some companies still take out the impurities by sifting it through animal bones!. Some red wines because the way thy used to take out the impurities back in the day(and sometimes still today) was to add animal blood to it!. The blood being thicker than the wine would sink to the bottom of the vat taking any sediment with it!. Vegans also dont eat honey because it is made by bees, and they dont use or eat anything made with animal products!. No gelatin because it IS bone and other animal protiens!. If you want to sweeten your foods, pure unprocessed cane juice or even raw cane will do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Gelatin is a big one!. It is in a lot of candies and yogurts, as well as the "gelcaps" used in medicines and dietary supplements!.
Some cheese is made with animal rennet, which comes from a calf!. There is such a thing as non-animal rennet, you can look for it on the label or contact the company!.
Many vegetarians look for "no animal testing" or "vegan" on their health and beauty products, like lotions shampoos and makeup!.
If I'm going to go to all the trouble of not using any animal products in my food and on my body, wearing leather and fur would be pretty weird!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think you might be confusing vegetarians and vegans!. vegetarians cut out meat, cheeses using animal rennet, and gelatin mostly!. vegans cut out any product that comes from an animal including items used in cosmetics, clothing, etc!.
i think for vegetarians it varies by person!. i am not a vegan but i don't use anything that includes animal ingredients not derived from milk!. if i could give up cheese it would probably be quite easy for me to go vegan! the definition for vegans is strict and there isn't any wiggle room there!. you either use animal products or you don't!. for vegetarians it is more flexible!.!.!.!.beyond meat it is up to the individual to decide if they would like to give up more!. i commend all veggies for making the effort, however great or small it is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it doesn't sound like you do know the difference between vegetarian and vegan!. vegetarians don't eat meat!. that's it!. vegans are the ones that cut out cheese, dairy, eggs, etc!. i don't know who cuts out soda!.!.!. people on diets!? a lot of times you'll find that people that have a veg*n lifestyle are more health concious in general and will stay away from processed foods and chemicals and such!. but that's not the rule!.!.!. a vegetarian doesn't eat meat, a vegan no animal products!. most will also not use or wear animal products (like leather) but again, there's various degrees of how far this goes!. some people eat meat but won't wear leather or fur so those labels are more so just for what people eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
