Vegans if necessity dictated which would you break down and eat first?!

Question: Vegans if necessity dictated which would you break down and eat first!?
1!. Honey

2!. eggs

3!. Dairy products (milk, yogurt, and cheese)

What I am getting after is there a priority in your tastes, health, environmental impact, and or morality as to which is better to eat if need be!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Honey!. a) It's the only one of the three that is GOOD for you!. b) Cows and chickens are not insects!. c) The environmental impact of consuming raw local honey is nil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd have to say an organic, free range, non-fertilized, egg from a farmer like Michael H!. who allows his chickens to live a full life-span without any forced molting!.

The two evils I would have to worry about then would be the possible emotional distress that the hen may feel from the loss of the egg and the cholesterol!.

Milk repulses me worse because you have to molest the dairy cow and rob the calf of it's milk to get it!.

From an eco-feminists stand-point I would worry too much about the bees being held captive and some being smoked out!. I don't like the idea of bees being held captive because they are a major player in the eco-system due to all the pollination that they do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I too am vegetarian not vegan and I would eat, I do eat, a limited amount of dairy because truthfully, it doesn't take anyones life or potential life and it isn't a flesh food like eggs; it doesn't disturb a species life cycle like taking the honey needed by the bee colony for its own purposes, and if you do not milk the cow twice a day she is in pain!. Honest!. Having been a nursing mother let me assure that's a fact!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If I absolutely *had* to my order of break down would be

1!. Honey
2!. Dairy
3!. Eggs

I know it's speciest, but I don't feel the same sense of connection with insects as I do with mammals!. I know they are animals too, but I just feel closer to chickens and cows than insects!.

Only because dairy is so ubiquitous!. It's really one of the more difficult things to avoid in a vegan diet!.

I would only eat them if they were from my own happy healthy hens who lived out their lives to the full!. I don't completely trust free range labeling, so I'd only eat them if the were from my hens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The only way necessity would dictate me eating them is if I were starving to death (not likely to happen) or some horrible apocalyptic event occured in which the only foods available were laced with animal ingredients, in which case, I would eat whatever food was available for the sole purpose of survival!.

Like that's going to happen!. Please!.

This is another classic gotcha question, isn't it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

When faced with these choices, I'd have to say honey!. Although honeybees are sometimes maimed, crushed, or otherwise hurt during the process of harvesting, the intentions of most beekeepers are good!. Whereas most (not all) people in other animal agribusinesses do it without care for a creature's well-being!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

God some people leaving comments are so nieve!. It's not like the dairy industry some cute little farm on a grassy hill like in childrens books!. Before you say stupid things RESEARCH! If I had to choose I would eat the only thing listed that really doesn't hurt an animal!. Honey!.

http://video!.google!.com/videoplay!?docid=!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well I'm not Vegan, just vegetarian, but if I were, I'd probably eat eggs first!. But they'd have to be organic eggs from a chicken that led a natural life!.

But if it couldn't be organic, then I guess I would go with honey as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Really, I wouldn't want to choose any of them!. But since this is a hypothetical question, I would have to say honey!. Less harm is done to the bees than is done to dairy cows or chickens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honey first!. Milk products make me deathly ill, and the thought of eating an egg is enough to make my stomach turn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Okay, well if I HAD to eat one of those I'd have to say honey because bees don't suffer as much as cows and chickens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah!.!.!. cows suffer soooo much getting milked!. And chickens suffer sooooo much laying the eggs that they'd lay anyway!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

honey probablyWww@FoodAQ@Com

I WONDER IF COWS AND CHICKENS SUFFER AS MUCH AS A HEAD OF LETTUCE BEING RIPPED APART OR CUT UP!? THOSE POOR PLANTS!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
