Vegetarians/Vegans, do you believe in the doctrine of Karma?!
Karma translates as 'action' or deed'!. Bad karma arises through bad deeds, good karma arises through good deeds!.
If you believe that the nature of life is samsaric (cyclic existence), does killing an animal have repercussions in another life!?

I believe the Buddha when he said to harm or kill no living thing, no matter how great or small!. Life IS samsara- endless suffering through many life cycles!. I can't discern the total meaning of karma, but I always choose the kindest path when I face a choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I believe that we ought to do good but not that karma is certain to bite us!.
Meat may not be essential, but neither is central air, indoor plumbing, excessive clothing, central heat, large homes and any number of other excesses most of which we have become accustomed to in the last hundred years!. I believe definately!. But mostly just int he sense that if I do good things and put out good intentions then good will find its way back to me!. Obviously if you do bad things and are a generally nasty person bad things are bound to happen to you!. So kinda of Karma, kind of the whole idea of the 3 fold rule of most pagan religions!.

No!. I stopped believing in karma when eight meatpacking employees won the biggest lottery jackpot in U!.S!. history!.

My atheist principles tell me that karma doesn't exist, yet I do believe the basic principle that if you do good things good things will come to you!. I don't believe it is from a god or something of that nature!. So yes and no!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
