Is it bad to kill insects as a vegan/vegetarian?!
I'm trying to become a vegan and so since vegans r all like 'save the animals' (which i am ALL for) do they still kill insects like ants or spiders!? Whenever i see a spider in my house i am all like FREAKING OUT cuz i think they r soooo gross (and nobody say 'but theyr good for killing flies' or 'but theyr soooo helpfull' blah blah blah, i h8 them, and thats that nothing will change my mind) so i get somebody else to squish it!. is this bad for a vegan!? or should i *shudder* catch and release it!? and if i SHOULD catch & release it, wat r some ways to throw it outta the house w/o TOUCHING IT!? u c, i cant evun touch a picture of a spider w/o freaking out!. !. !. plus i have an animal dictionary listing tons of animals and insects and i had to rip out the spider pages bcuz i cant stand looking at the pictures, much less reading about themWww@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a vegetarian, but I believe that nobody should kill anything without a purpose!. Humans are omnivorous animals, so eating meat is part of our nature!. However, killing any animal just because you don't like it or it creeps you out is just not acceptable!. Being a vegan is a very environmentally responsible thing to do, as farm animals do create a lot of waste and are partially responsible for global warming!. I used to be very afraid of spiders as well, but then I realized that they are not out to harm me!. My techniques for catching and releasing insects are as follows:
1!. For things that might bite/sting you (bees, large spiders, centipedes, etc): Get a large piece of paper and place it in the path of the insect/arachnid!. When it's on the paper, put a large cup or small plastic tub over the bug so that the paper is over all of the edges!. Keeping the paper on the container at all times, flip it over so that the bug is inside the container!. Put it outside!.
2!. For insects that won't bite you (small beetles, moths, etc): Very gently try to cup your hand around the insect and carry it outside!. It might be freaky at first, but once you get used to it you'll find it to be a rewarding experience!.

Im a vegetarian and i HATE spiders!! I kill them! I dont like bumble bees either, ugh!. I know some people think that its wrong to kill bugs ( i dont kill harmless ones btw) but they dont think about the ants and other bugs they might be killing while they are walking around on the ground!. The people who think plants have feelings should think about that too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Not killing the insects and spiders that invade your home is taking it a little too far!. If you have ever seen the damage a recluse spider can do, then you will be all FOR killing them too!. They can actually kill people as can black widow spiders and other forms of insects and spiders!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's fine to kill insects that are being a pest, trying to bite you or get into your food etc!.; but it's cruel to go out side and stomp on an ant hill for the heck of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
So why would you come here to ask what to beleive!? Between your ears is a mass of matter called a brain!. No guide books needed!.!.!.I think this question is the least of your problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
KILL THEM ALL!.

You do whatever you believe in, not what other people say you should!. Just keep in mind that insects/bugs do have feelings and can feel pain, just like other animals!.
You have arachnopobia!? Do you live with anyone that could take care of the spider for you!? If not, here's what I usually do!. Get either a cup or a really big piece of paper, chase the spider out the door if possible, and if not catch it without touching it and place it outside, where it will run away!.!.!. no contact needed lol :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on what you believe!. If you think that spiders are animals and they have feelings release it!. You could have a family member do it for you, or they make these 'bug vaccums' for kids (as toys) and you could use those!. All you do is press a button and it sucks it into a container!. Kinda funny LOL!. If you do not consider them animals the squish them or whatever you want!. I am a vegetarian and i don't like spiders but i don't like killing little harmless creatures either!. I usually make my dad take them outside!. Do whatever you think is right! Good Luck!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
You should be able to kill and eat them, but don't just kill them!.
