Question: Question for vegetarians!. Do you feel tired not having meat!?
(I want to go vegetarian for health reasons)!.

How does your body feel with no meat!?
& do you have more, less, or the same energy!?

I've been a vegetarian for around six months!.!.!.
I did it for animal rights, but thought that the health reasons would be a plus (like you!)!. However, if you are a meat fan (not neccesarily a BIG one, but enjoy meat) then you have to monitor yourself! I never realized what i used meat for!.!.!. such as in sandwhiches, when you go out to eat there are almost always meat products, a slice of turkey for a healthy snack when i was hungry!.!.!. and i started substituting these things with unhealthier snacks, which resulted in me being more tired!. You will have more energy if you become a vegetarian, but do it the CORRECT way!. Stock up on healthy greens and vegetables, tofu and brown rices, and veggie beans, nuts, etc!.!.!. you will be healthy and feel better, but it takes discipline! good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

From my own experience, I tried to go vegetarian many times, but wasn't able to do it!. The reason why I stopped is that I was fatigued, my skin became dry and paler, and just overall sense of physical weakness!. I couldn't concentrate much either!.

Frankly, I feel I need to have more meat everyday in order to be at my optimal health!. Unfortunately, I'm not able to afford meat everyday!. It depends on the person I think!. My suggestion is to try it out and see if it's right for you!. If it's not right for you, than that's OK as well!. :-)

Last time I had a steak my energy rebounded and my skin became a healthier color!. I also slept very well and got up early!. It was a real boost!. It just depends on the person!. Everybody is different I believe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have more energy since becoming vegetarian (and then eventually vegan)!.

I think it's not only from me not eating meat, but I also eliminated diary and junk food!. I try to stay away from processed foods as much as possible!. I haven't been drinking soda since high school and I've never regretted cutting that out of my diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are feeling fatigued, it would probably mean that you aren't balancing your diet with the right proteins, etc!. If your system is cleaner you could plausibly have more energy!. Vegetarianism, if done correctly and healthily, will improve your overall health and vitality!. Get informed so you know what kinds of protein you might need!. Good Luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

So long as you have properly replaced all the good minerals you would get out of meat with something else you should feel any fatigue!. Meat is harder for the body to digest!. I've been vegan for some time now and have never felt better!. I sleep much better at night and am able to get up in the morning with no problemWww@FoodAQ@Com

Actually I ate very little meat even when I was an omni so nothing much really changed!. I don't miss it at all and certainly don't feel tired or deprived because I don't eat meat!. As long as the body gets the proper nutrients whether from meat/plant foods or plant foods alone, it should do just fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

I am not vegetarian, but I do limit my meat intake!.

After a week of no meat, I sometimes can feel a difference!.

I was vegetarian at one point for almost 15 years!. I didn't feel weak or low energy at all, but my body was probably used to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Meat is so hard to digest that your body has to slow down all other functions in order to break it down!.

The last time you had a big slab of steak, did it make you feel all peppy, or did you go lay down on the couch and take a nap!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have not felt much of a difference, I am more aware of what I am eating, which is good!. Although I am not as attuned to my body, so I really cannot tell you if I felt change!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

More energy, because it takes less work for your body to break down veggie protein then it does to break down meat protein!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I do sometimes if I eat too much junk food in a day!. When I eat fruit & veggies and water, and excercise, I feel very healthy and I have more energy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Many moons ago when I ate a high protein meat meal I'll feel like taking a nap after!. Now when I eat a high protein veggie meal I feel like going for a walk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
