Answers:
Part of the answer is what you're used to!. Eat less meat, less heavily salted food, less sugar, and your tastes will change!.
The other part is to eat good food!. Mostg of us have been brought up on tasteless food that needs a ton of salt, sugar, and fat to give it any flavor!. Consider the average fast food burger- to me, they don't even taste like meat! They taste like fat and salt!. Or the typical commercial peanut butter, which has all the peanut oil rmoved, and sugar added!. Doesn't taste like peanuts- but that's what most people are brought up on!. Once you develop a taste for real peanut butter the usual stuff tastes awful!.
Get a good vegetarian cookbook- my favorite is Mark Bittman's "How To Cook Everything Vegetarian!." Buy tomatoes that smell like tomatoes, not the flavorless things found in most supermarkets!. A really good tomato sandwich is a wonderfull thing- two slices of good white bread, a little real mayonnaise, some salt and fresh ground pepper, and slices of good tomato!.
Some vegetables, like asparagus, are high in glutamate- which is what meats taste "meaty"!. They're a good introduction to eating vegtables!. What makes vegetables taste bad is overcooking and lack of seasoning!.
Fresh fruit can be wonderful!. Packaged fruit, or fruit that's been sitting around in a store too lang, loses its flavor!.
Try this recipe:
Bean Burgers
In a food processor, combine:
2 cups cooked beans, rinsed
1/2 onion
1/4cup rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 egg
pulse untill well mixed!.
form into small patties and fry in oil (peanut, canola, olive) until browned on each side!.
Use in sandwiches with your favorite condiments!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Good for you!. Cutting way back on meat is a healthy choice!. Substitute a grilled Portabella mushroom for your hamburger and add all the usual condiments!. YUM! Don't drink fruit, eat them!. Try fresh berries and nonfat yogurt in a glass with a granola topping!. Add a few walnuts because they're tasty and good for you!. Peel and cut up an orange or use Mandarin orange slices and add them to low salt cottage cheese!. Add a dash of cinnamon!. Go wild and throw in some chopped almonds!.
It's summer, so start grilling peppers and squash and zucchini and onions and tomatoes!. Marinate the cut veggies in some olive oil, coarse salt and ground pepper!. Throw in some asparagus too!. Make a rice pilaf in the micro to go with and enjoy!. Your family will want to share because it's so colorful and tasty!.
Soups are good too!. Look up some recipes at allrecipes!.com

I've been told that a lot of our "pleasure" from food comes from the presentation!. If it looks really good, we're likely to enjoy the whole experience more!.
So, keep that in mind & try to make the plate look pretty or appetizing!?
Since summer is coming, I'm going to share a very pretty & very tasty main dish salad recipe with you!. I hope you'll try it & hope you'll like it too!
Curried Seafood Salad
1 head lettuce (Bib lettuce + another works well too)
4 stalks celery, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
? pound cooked medium shrimp (shells removed)
? pound cooked crabmeat (I prefer King Crab)
Curried dressing (instructions follow):
2 tablespoons fruit Chutney (mango or peach are good)
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons curry powder
3 to 4 tablespoons half-and-half
Condiments, such as toasted coconut, toasted slivered almonds, chopped green onions, raisins & Chutney
Prepare condiments & set aside!. Prepare curried dressing & set aside!.
Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces & place in a salad bowl!. Add celery & green onions!. Stir in shrimp & crabmeat, reserving some pieces for garnish!. Toss with Curried Dressing (note, you will probably NOT need all of the dressing!.) Garnish with seafood!. Serve condiments in separate bowls!.
Curried Dressing:
Mix all ingredients in a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade!. Taste for seasoning!. The curry flavor should just bite or it flavor will be lost in the salad!.
Variation: Substitute 1 pound boneless cooked chicken for the seafood!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
