Question on vegetarianism?!

Question: Question on vegetarianism!?
I've recently transitioned into being a vegetarian, I've been one since the beginning of the year!. But recently, I've been really tired, and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my diet change!? Does it!? Can you develop fatigue becoming a vegetarian!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
If you've been a meat eater your whole life, your body is probably not used to getting its iron and protein only from plant sources!. That is most likely why you're experiencing fatigue!. It will go away in time (I know from experience)!. Just make sure that you're eating iron rich foods, like chick peas, oatmeal, and iron fortified cereals and soy/almond milk!. Oh and when you eat something with iron in it, have a little vitamin C as well!. It aids in the absorption of iron!. :)

also, it wouldn't hurt to take a multivitamin until your body fully adjusts to the dietary change!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah, you can if you are not eating healthily!. People automatically assume that no meat= healthy!. BUT, you gotta make sure you get enough protein and iron (which are the two biggest nutrients that we miss out on as vegetarians)!. Make a concious effort to eat more protein (if you eat eggs, those are good!.!.!. or nuts, peanut butter, milk, etc!.!.!.) and take a good multivitamin!. You should start feeling better!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

make sure you are getting enough iron (broccoli, spinach), and protein (beans and nuts)!. that should help!. you have to kind of reteach your body when you're raised eating meat and then stop!. but in time you will feel LOADS better without all that nastiness you were previously eating!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you getting enough sleep!? If your eating a balanced vegetarian diet that's probably not the problem!. Maybe see your doctor to rule out any health problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That happend to me it is normal but try to eat a lot of fruits that seemed to help me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

u just keep trying and u will get used to itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Gotta figure-- you're doing something wrong when you don't eat meat!. To these bozos who claim we're not omnivores, do they think primitive people had the wherewithal to figure out a "smart vegetarian diet"!? NO-- they ate what was natural to them-- plants and MEAT!.

*******EDIT************

Please don't listen to these knuckle-heads that want you to think your natural diet is somehow bad for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
