When will yahoo staff put a stop to the madness in the V&V?!
This section is being targeted by psychotic trolls!. People are continually receiving abusive emails, being impersonated, reported and harassed constantly!. This behaviour is illegal and simply unacceptable!. The trolls responsible should have their IP addresses blocked from yahoo so they cannot abuse other users any more!. Yahoo will lose valuable contributors to this forum if nothing is done!. When will yahoo stop this madness and stop these nasty trouble makers!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Well, if you talk to Neo, Amy, Jane Lydia, Mario and Mick in Yahoo they will tell you that we give far too much credit to the trolls and they are not really a problem!.
So, i guess the answer is "never"
But i also think thats the answer to "How often do Yahoo staff look at the V&V forum !?"
There are many more logical reporting processes than the current one!. Some great suggestions have been made and ignored by Yahoo!.
At the end of the day, Yahoo are here to generate traffic so they can charge for advertising - thats why they are here!. Traffis is traffic - whether it be your carefully thought out answer, or a trolls abuse, yahoo really don't care because they know the advertises don't check the content!. The hype around it being a "knowledge network" is just so Yahoo can try to create a service differentiator and charge more for the adverts!.
When i think back to Yahoo's initial letter to me asking me to join its quite laughable now!.
Blockign IP addresses has also been suggested but rejected by Yahoo!. Many networks are behind a NAT!. To the internet, everyone on that local network woudl be seen as using the same IP!. So if you block a trolls IP, you could easily be blocking a whole company!.
A $5 registration charge will sort out the trolls but i think that woudl stop the majority of decent people signing up!. Yahoo could use that to fund decent monitoring though!.
Yahoo should make the regisration process more difficult somehow - maybe a 1 week period before you can post answers - that would help reduce the trolls instant new accounts once they get deleted!. At the moment, getting a "level 1 zero point account" deleted is no punishment
Yahoo have lost many valuable people in the 2 years i've been here - some excellent people!. However, like i said, traffic is traffic and Yahoo has no interest in qualityWww@FoodAQ@Com

The trolls are probably people who work in the meat industry!.
Yahoo probably doesn't have enough personnel to monitor everything that's posted!.!.!.!. but on the positive side, it also makes it a more "democratic" forum!. This is the internet!.!.!.!. trolls are a fact of web life!.
What annoys me more is that anyone can get anyone else's question or answer deleted, whether or not there is an actual good reason!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think they will!.
I thought this area was targeted pretty heavily (starting when a very rude veg*n emailed me and accused me of being ignorant)!.!.!.!. but I no longer have this opinion!.
The V & V controversies, trolling, and poor behavior is mild compared to what goes on in the Religions area!.
It is crazy over there!. Many mean-spirited atheist and Christians showing absolutely no tolerance for another way of life or opinion!.
I mean!.!.!. it's the same kind of thing that goes on over here in V & V, with intolerant folks posting Yea and Nay for the Veg*n lifestyle!. But the Religious forum is way more intense!. Spooky!.
I recommend acting according to your knowledge of good behavior!.and not allowing your standard of conduct to be compromised by someone's immature ond boorish behavior!.
Live and let live!. Variety is the spice of life!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yahoo can do all that but then may have to charge for the service which might actually discourage people from posting here!.
I suppose unless people are actually willing to pay to be able to post here, the serious folks would just have to take the good with the bad!. Most of the "trolls" are known to most of the regulars here anyway and the best solution is to keep ignoring them!. Rponding to their taunts and nonesense just encourages them to do more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yahoo does not have the manpower to police any board!. Do not accept emails, do not rise to the bait of answering trolls, if you must rise, chatize the extremist of both sides!. This forum is no worse than many and not as bad as some!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The V/V is constantly under attack, its pathetic!.
I am sure they wouldn't like us trolling the hunting section!.!.!. Of course Y!A would actually do something about that
*sigh*Www@FoodAQ@Com

One would think that Y!A has the ability to track IP adresses but one must still wonder!. Perhaps they will make use of this technology in the future!. Until then excercize your report clicking fingers!. Or suggest this method in the Y!A's suggestions spot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't think they care!. By the way, do you notice you nice new ads and layout!? Seem like someone want to make coins from page impressions and clicks so Microsoft won't have to buy them out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I completely agree!. Yahoo's system is unfair!. Especially because my account got deleted on my birthday! But scottie returns in the form of ''hollywood''!.!.shh! :)

Hi mate!
I'm with u 100% on that!! is asking silly questions and being abusive much more interesting than a question offering support, help or knowledge!?!.!.!.!.I really don't think so! When's YA going to take affirmative action and block these waste timers!?
