Soy meats and "natural flavoring"?!

Question: Soy meats and "natural flavoring"!?
I noticed a lot of the artificial meats have "natural flavoring"!. I've read that can usually mean MSG, which has terrible effects long term on the nervous system!. Are there any brands of meat substitutes that don't use "natural flavoring"!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Hydrolyzed soy proteins that are genetically manipulated do contain MSG!.
Packages with
-soy protein concentrate
-soy protein isolate
- textureized soy protein
It would be best to use tempeh, tofu, natto, miso
Otherwise look for made from organic soy beans on the packages!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

there are plenty of meat substitutes that are MSG-free!. they will state it on the packaging!. certain morningstar farms products are, "smart" products, and i believe amy's is as well!. just read the labels =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

you must read those labels and also realize most processed foods have some sort of animal biproduct in them!.

be careful!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love Amy's stuff!.!.!. and it is usually MSG free!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
