Survey:- Can you still eat animals after reading this?!
Answers:
I am already vegan and have been for a long time!. I understand how you feel, but aren't the majority of people here already vegan or vegetarian!? You might want to post this in the society or philosophy section, or the larger Food and Drink section above v&v!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Can I!? Yes!. Do I!? No!. This article, while somewhat interesting, doesn't do anything to my ability to eat animals!. I've been a vegetarian for a while now, but I don't do it because I'm deluded enough to think that it makes a difference on some farm somewhere, or that my choice impacts the world, the environment, or the fuzzy little animals!.
The fact of the matter is, PETA is just as bad as any factory farm, and it's just as influenced by the industry -- yes, it's a slightly different industry, but it's the same story!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As I understand it, the article talks about the unsanitary and unhealthy practices of pig/cattle farms, and the resulting bad quality of the meat they produce!.
However, I still eat meat!. I eat either organic meat, grass-fed beef, or kosher meats!. That way, I know that the animals I ate had room to run around, and ate healthfully!.
However, this has nothing to do with ethics!. I eat organic and kosher meat for health purposes solely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

hmmm!.!.!.!.!.!. I red most of the article and listen to the video!. Unfortunately it did not give me much information about the cruelty animals suffer, nor the additives that are actually put into the animals, that harm us humans ! Yes the agricultural industry is under pressure both by those who are against and for animal cruelty, because of the large demand for food in our country and internationally, because the US does export some of its meat products!.
I am a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, and do not support animal cruelty, however I do not condem omnivores, atleast the ones who can actually appreciate the animal, becuase there are Jews who practice the Kosher diet, which causes the animal no harm before, after and during the slaughter!. I know it sounds redundant for a vegetarian to be ok with people eating meat, but atleat they are considering the animals rights, and their own health, which alot of regular farmers do not !
Vegetarians are also at risk, becuase of the increasing demand for vegetables and fruits!. They can add chemicals to our foods and pesticides!.!.!.!.!.!.!. so technically no one is safe from the food industry, because we are not there when they are cultivating these crops and packaging it!. So we have to ask ourselves "how organic, is 'organic' !?"Www@FoodAQ@Com

i eat animals after reading much, much worse than that!. but i try to only eat humanely treated animals, like grass-fed for red meat and cage-free chicken eggs and stuff like that!. i still eat tortured animals sometimes from restaurants, but only because i know that not eating them won't change a thing!.
food-safetly concerns are over-rated!. my dad is 70 years old from russia!. he knows starvation!. he was laughing over the e-coli in spinnach thing!. "for hundereds of years people ate food and got sick and no one knew why or how and people lived on!. suddenly they discover germs and pannic" he says!.
in stalin's russia, you buy eggs from a carton one-by-one!. there is a bright light provided with the eggs!. you put the egg to the light, and if the inside is black, you don't buy it!. people got food poisoning from bad fish or eggs all the time!. they threw up, drank some castor oil, and lived on with their lives!.
americans really are spoiled!.
of course, since we are spoiled as we are, we can afford to treat animals better, which is why given a choice, i will always look for food from humanely-treated animals, but i'm not obsessive about it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I can!.
What you posted is just more of "one side of the food industry against the other", neither side can be trusted!. One side makes general claims without specific instances and the other is using financial influence, as if both sides don't do it regularly!.
When one side claims the other is being influenced, you need to understand that the side making the claim is being influenced as well!.
"Agricultural Lobbyists Influence Research"-This is what I've been telling you all along!. Agriculture means both meat and produce too BTW!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
