Question: Does spirituality influence your dietary preferences!?
I am re-posting this question!. People seemed to enjoy it last time!.

Do you believe in karma and/or rebirth!? How does your faith affect your vegetarian/vegan lifestyle!?

Thanks in advance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is like De ja vu !.!.!.!. LOL!.

I'm vegan!. But I'm in a phase of spiritual discovery at the moment!. I was born into a Muslim family but I find my self being pulled toward earth centric traditions like Paganism, Asatru, Norse & Celtic Paganism!. Kind of Eclectic Pagan if I must pick a label!. I'm not vegan because of my faith, but I do believe paganism and veganism are complementary!. I do have faith, faith in nature, the earth and Mother Nature!. Whether or not I call her The Goddess, I do believe there is a sense of the divine within nature and the natural world!.

I believe there is natural justice and a balance in life!. Everything is joined in this interconnectedness of energy and life!. Hurting others or nature is only, in effect harming ourselves!. I don't think this is the traditional 3fold karma definition, but the earth will find a way to reclaim balance!. Whether humanity will survive this natural reclaimation I don't know!. But there is always a natural balance on this earth and the planet will find a way to reclaim it!.

I hope my veganism contributes to this balance, but I wish I could do so much more!.

Thank you so much for the great question!.

Christian!. How I eat doesn't have an effect upon by spiritual beliefs!.

I believe that what people sow in life they will reap - good things, good things come your way along with being happy - bad things, bad things come your way along with usually not being happy!. May not happen instantly - but have seen it many times!.

Rebirth!? Born again is a phrase within Christianity - but not what your suggesting with the use of the word in your question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not a veg*n!. Don't believe in karma or rebirth!. Am a Christian, and believe in being a good steward of the earth!. My spirituality does influence my striving to eat healthy because it is a part of God's creation, too!. I'm not perfect at eating healthy!. I grew up on a farm and feel that people are a part of the "circle of life" and that one of those parts is consuming animals and plants!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Initially, yes, a little bit!. That was close to 15 years ago!. It wasn't about karma or rebirth though!. It was more just about respect!.

Nowadays, no!. Since I never liked meat or anything like that to begin with, not eating it for so long has mostly turned into a preferential thing!.

I don't like to eat it now, so I don't!. And that's that!. There may have been better ethical or religious reason earlier but not anymore really!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im not reallly spiritual but i do positively beleive in karma, what goes around comes around, and that everything happens for a reason!.All that other stuff, the details!.!.!.!.i dont worry about :)
