Answers:
No, not purposely!. The people in my personal life, family and friends, are completely respectful of my decision and would never think of such a thing!. My boyfriend's mom and grandma have tried to feed me buttery things, but it wasn't like they were trying to trick me, they just don't understand (at all!) what vegan means!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I haven't been really tricked except by my boss who made minestrone soup for everyone one day and said it was all vegetables!. I found out that it was made with chicken broth and not vegetable broth!. The boss never apologized, just said "Jeeze, I can't feed you anything!" and she was right! She never did feed me anything after that!.
I have been vegan for so long that it surprises me when someone doesn't know that I am!. I am also so set in my ways that if they start to question me, I answer them as best I can!. I now know how to end the conversation pretty quickly with the answer "that it is my choice in my life and that is what is working for me"!.
I also now cook and buy everything I eat!. I have worked in the restaurant business for some time now and know of the horrors of it, and will not eat anything that I can not personally supervise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, everybody I know (besides from by best friend) have been really supportive about me turning vegan!. It's the people who are disapproving and refuse to see the logic of your reasons that are the ones you've got to look out for!.

Hopefully you don't have to deal with much of that!. I've lost a few friendships over my choices!. It's the people that really down right care for you that wouldn't try to trick you, you wouldn't do that to the ones you love!.

And even if you do happen to eat meat by being tricked, or an animal by product like diary and eggs or honey!.!.!. don't blame yourself for it and don't get angry with yourself over it!. That person who tried to get you to eat it knows that you wouldn't have eaten in without being tricked!. So it's not your fault!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have been served food with meat in it uknowingly, but it was not done out of malice, just misunderstanding!. i was served mashed potatoes that used chicken broth to make them fluffier!. the family member that served them hadn't even considered the fact that chicken broth, to a veg*n, is no different than chicken itself!. she felt really bad about it afterward, and i felt pretty bad for eating it, but we didn't hold it against each other!. she uses milk or veggie broth now =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I first became vegetarian in my teens, my parents didn't really take me seriously and they were getting a bit out of patience with my refusal to eat meat!. One day, my mum served shepherd's pie for dinner, telling me it was made with Quorn mince!.!.!. I took a few bites before I realised it was actually lamb!

Luckily since then they've got used to my dietary choices, and they can respect my reasons!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a veg*n, but I would never trick anyone who did not eat animal products into eating them!. It could make them really sick!. That'd be like giving someone lobster or peanuts knowing that they were allergic to them!.
It's not a funny thing to do and some people don't eat those products because of serious allergies and I would never do it to someone!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a harder time at restaraunts, they will try to tell me my food has no dairy as I stare at the heaping pile of parmasean cheese on top!. My in-laws try to trick my daughter by giving her cows milk and telling her it's soy, then of course she gets really ill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, not on purpose!. But people have insisted that something is vegan due to the lack of knowledge!.
It has happened to me that something was prepared extra for me without eggs and without cheese, but the pastry was made with "good fresh butter"!. ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!

My dad!. He would make my mom grind the prawns & fish to paste & add it to the food!. So I wouldn't know!.

But I did & he denied!. He still can't come to terms with the fact that it I am vegetarian!.

I think that my sister got me a regular birthday cake because she couldn't find me a vegan one or didn't want to pay a lot for it, but that's about as far as it went!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i dont think so because Im always on the look out like if i thinking something is meat Ill be like im not eating it unless your being totally honest!.!.they always hard but yeah!. Im just always prepared!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, everyone I know has similar opinions on animal welfare, therefore don`t want to eat dead animals !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, my friends are actually really good about it!. The always make something I can eat when I go to their houses and such!. They're the best :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

sorry, I am not veg!. or vegan, so I would love that any one trick me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah , wen i was 3 , ma uncle gave me prawns saying they wer cashewnuts!.!.
not only i ate them , i actually asked for more!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Childish play cannot cause any harm to vegans!. Only conscious actions bring results to the doer!.
