Being vegan and pregnant and or nursing is possible but you need to be educated about it!. I'm not sure of all the particulars concerning veganism and nursing but I do know you can get plenty of protein from these sources, spirulina (Complete, high in B12, and Iron), soy (complete), Tempeh, Setein, Broccoli (40% protein), Quinoa (complete and great mixed in with rice), chic peas, nuts, legumes of all kinds, amaranth (high in lysine, complete when mixed with corn), and hemp seeds (complete)!.

Here is a link to an article about how to be vegan and pregnant then nursing!. This mom did it twice and was just fine!.

I think the best thing to do would be to talk to a nutritionist or even your doctor!. They'll know the best way for you to cut things out of your diet and what things to add in to keep you and your lil one happy&healthy!.

I know that the combination of rice & beans makes a really strong protein!. This might get boring to have every night!.!.so I'd say search allrecipes!.com (just did a search on the website,t here's quite a few things on there!.!.) and the Food Network's website for recipes that for different dishes that have rice and beans or maybe even cook two seperate types of dishes (one with rice and the other with beans)!. This way, you get your protein, vareity and a happy belly!. :) (This is how I get my protein most of the time!.!.)

Hope this helps! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sorry but I think you are being very selfish, what about your baby's health and well being, you may cut out essential ingredients necessary for your baby to grow and develop, both physically and mentally!. Talk to the health experts i!.e!. a nutritionilist before you make any drastic moves in this direction
