No need to cook it, although I would suggest a lot of spice--it can be rather bland and cardboard like raw!. The raw food movement has recipes for raw tempeh, and they claim its live cultures act like yogurt does by balancing your digestive system!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can eat tempeh raw or cooked!. Many recipes using tempeh use it in the raw form and I've certainly tasted some good dishes raw, including one with barbecue seasoning!. If you are interested in trying a tempeh recipe, you could try this one with the tempeh raw or sauteed:
