Can a vegan wear a wig made of human hair?!
you know if they had cancer or something!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
You are clearly ill-informed about cancer!.
Cancer does not cause hair loss!. Hair loss is sometimes caused by cancer treatments that some cancer patients have!.
Chemotherapy: not all cancer patients have chemotherapy!. Of those that do, not all will have chemotherapy regimes that cause hair loss!. Many chemotherapy regimes do cause hair loss, or hair thinning, but by no means all!.
Radiotherapy does not cause hair loss, unless it is to the head, though many patients requiring radiation to the head will already have had their hair shaved off in preparation for surgery!.
Of those who do lose their hair, and choose to wear a wig (not all do, many wear hats and scarves and many, especially men, choose not to cover their heads) concern about ethically-sourced human hair is not confined to vegans or vegetarians!. Many people, whatever their dietary choices, will want to make sure that the hair is not from, for example, prisoners in some countries who are forcibly shaved so their hair can be sold, or people living in grinding poverty in Asia who have sold their hair for a pittance so that some charlatan can make a huge profit from it - and yes, these things do happen!.
Nobody can have any objection to an ethically-sourced human hair wig, for example one from the charity Locks for Love where people have voluntarily donated their hair out of compassion!.
There!. Now next time you use a deadly disease with no known cure as a subject for jokes, you can be an educated troll instead of an ignorant one!.

yes you can wear it, as long as that human was not harmed for their hair!. its ok to wear wool socks, because the sheep was not harmed for their wool!. but fish are killed and their scales are used for lipstick, cows are killed and their hides used for leather jackets, rhinos killed for ivory, deer for antlers, etc etc etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Considering the humans willingly donate their hair, yes!.
Veganism is about ending EXPLOITATION of animals, and if a human is willing to donate her hair to organizations that makes wigs for cancer patients, that's not exploitation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't kill or torture a human to get human hair to make the wig!. So why not!.
If you have long hair and decided to cut short, the hair can be use to make wig or if you like you can keep it too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Veganism seeks to reduce animal suffering and exploitation!. The kind people who donate their hair to organizations like Locks of Love are not being exploited!. They are willingly giving something they don't need to help someone who does!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Was the human tortured throughout their whole-existance and then slaughtered for their hair!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
This is a silly question :o)
Humans either sell their hair or donate it towards making wigs, no harm was done to them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
