My hubby and I love camping, and I'm vegetarian!. I take lots of fresh veggies to cook over the campfire when we go in our cooler!. I love sliced zucchini with garlic wrapped in foil, or taking corn on the cob, leaving it in it's husk, soaking it in water for an hour or so and then roasting it over the fire!. You can bake potatoes this way too--I cut a portion of the potato out, fill it with garlic and onions, wrap it in foil and cook it!. Sliced tomatoes, trail mix, apples, premade salad mix, sunflower seeds--all things I like to bring along for our weekends!. Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't advise bringing -only- trail mix, if it contains lots of nuts, it will have some protien but also a lot of fat, which might drain you of energy!. I'm not sure what trail mix it is, but make sure it has a balance of carbs, fats, and protiens, including simple sugars like dried fruit and complex carbs like whole wheat nibbles!. also, make sure it's sealed well to prevent critters getting into it and to keep it dry!. Boca burgers seem to hold up well (individually wrapped!.!.!.I bring them to work and leave them at room temperate for a few hours and they've never done anything weird!.), I don't personally like veggie dogs, they make me sick!. Pre-cooking some brown rice and bringing it along for your carb staple also might be a good idea, rice holds up easily, is cheap, and goes with anything!. There are also several vegetarian friendly Ramen type soups out there, just boil some water over the campfire and enjoy!. =) There are vegetarian marshmallows out there (I personally don't have a problem eating gelatin though I am vegetarian) that might be fun to roast!. =) Make sure you get a variety of food so your energy stays up!. And use sunscreen! <3Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am very glad you are a vegetarian!.I also don't eat any meat, seafood and eggs!.Milk and cheese is OK with me!.I eat lots of beans fruits and love to cook!.I can cook any dish that other people make minus meat!.
I also don't like the hypocrisy of people who love animals and do not think twice when they eat chicken or meat!.
If you seal your trail mix properly and in a tight container it should last for a long time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not having hot food when camping sucks!. I really hope you don't plan on living off trail mix for any length of time it will get old fast!. Find some canned beans with no pork and take those!. Boil in bag rice is good too!. also baked potatoes or other vegitables wrapped in foil in the fire are easy!. So is instant oatmeal!.

Your stats are kinda misleading!. How many vegetarians smoke or never excersise compare to meat eaters!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Great than you should have plenty of vegetation to eat!. And I would like to know where you get your statistics that veggies live longer than carnivores!. If you eat a balanced diet including meat and exercise regularly than you'll live as long as anyone else regardless of being a veggie head!. Your so full of sh**!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

What else are you taking to eat!? I mean, if that's all you're taking, it won't last long, but if you're taking real 'sustenance", it should do fine as a snack!.!.!.as long as it's sealed!.

I always take a few cans of Annie's organic medium chili with me, and heat that up over the fire!. ( it also works great to make a chili dog (-) the dog!!)

Have a great time! OH, and try the grass, I hear it's really good!.!.!.!.!.tee hee!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

* Don't let other people get to you!.* It depends on how big it is!. If it was the size of an average ceral box, then I would say a day or 2!. * If that was all you were going to eat!.*Www@FoodAQ@Com

Trail mix works, but don't be surprised if you start craving freash food and more substantial proteins!. I would bring along some apples, carrots, nuts, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

theres plenty of grass and leavs in de widerniss!. LOLWww@FoodAQ@Com

Not long!. You need meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
