Yes, soya contains isoflavones (naturally occuring plant compounds) that seem to have a beneficial effect on PMS sufferers!. Here's a link I found-
http://www!.victoriahealth!.com/vhstore/pc!.!.!.
also, a friend of mine who works at Holland & Barrett (a health foods store) suggests that those with PMS take Soya Isoflavone supplements!. I think they are definately worth a try if you suffer from PMS!.
I have found this great website, check it out, I hope you find this link very useful!.
http://www!.fatsforhealth!.com/library/lib!.!.!.
A quote from the above link-
''Soy- contains isoflavones which naturally regulate and balance the levels of estrogens!. This physiological action helps to reduce symptoms of PMS, menstruation and menopause!. Consuming soy foods has many other healthful benefits including reduction in cancer and cardiovascular risks''!.
I hope this helps : )Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have heard pro and con from people on both sides!. Both sides can suggest points for their view - but there is nothing really substantial for either side either!.
I have even read on the internet (cause you know that if you find it on the internet it must be TRUE *tongue firmly placed in side of mouth*) from both sides!.
Personally - I haven't found any information that really swayed me to believe one way or another - that really got me to thinking that one side had more going for it than the other!.
I have never had hot flashes!. Never had the mood swing thing going on!. Just totally missed out on all that stuff - - for which I am GRATEFUL!
My suggestion - if it works for *YOU* - then by all means eat as much of it as you can! If it doesn't - try something else!.
My help and answer - for what it is worth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Isoflavones, as stated above, supposedly have hormonal benefits!. However, I've tried this, and in my case eating tons of soy products did not help PMS!Www@FoodAQ@Com
