Basically no, but some "vegetarians" cheat or compromise if you will!.
To me being called a vegetarians is somewhat subjective!. The term is influenced by its community but also depends on the will of the individual!.
I do believe there is some play in the term!. For example if you eat meat but once a year could you still say you are a vegetarian!? One view is tou could month after month after month until that one time in the year comes up!.!.!. And then you are vegetarian again!.
Another view is that there is a spirit to the lifestyle in which some understand and others are more legalistic about it!.
In this particular case I would say if it happened once in a blue moon Ok you could still call this person a vegetarian!. Sometimes we are put in difficult positions in which a decision about the virtue of composing comes up!.
But if this person never distinguished the difference between chicken stock and vegetable stock then in my subjective opinion no this person would be an omnivore or at best primarily but not exclusively a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well considering it's chicken stock and most chicken stocks are not even considered real but artificial since it is a mixture of a very very tiny amount of chicken flavoring and tons of water!.
I wouldn't find it offending but most vegetarians get ansy and wouldn't touch it becuase it is considered an animal product!.
There are replacements such as organic soup stocks and artificial-mock chicken stocks which are indeed less fat and a lot healthier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, but a person who is a vegetarian 'for just health reasons' may eat things flavored with meat!.
BTW: I see questions like this on here almost every day and it reminds me of the question - "is a Christian still a Christian if he cheats on his taxes!." The answer usually given is, "he is a Christian if he calls himself a Christian!." I feel the same is true for vegetarians!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, if you eat products that involve the slaughter of animals, you can't be vegetarian!. You'd just be avoiding the meat, but still be consuming dead animal products (the oils and such)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Nope!. Chicken stock is made from dead chickens and vegetarians do not eat anything made from dead chickens!. Any kind of animal stock or sauce is out when it comes to feeding vegetarians and vegans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't!. It depends on how strict the individual is though!. There's no law dictating what you can or cannot eat if you'Re a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
