How do I transition out of being a vegetarian?!

Question: How do I transition out of being a vegetarian!?
I've been a vegetarian for 4 years, now!. I've loved the lifestyle, but for the past 5 months I've considered eating meat again!. However, I have quite a few friends who were vegetarians for years and started eating meat again and they say that simply eating meat again isn't a good decision!. They say that all they taste is the animal blood, which isn't good and it also upsets their stomach!. I want to take this slowly, but I'm not sure how!. What is a good way to transfer from being a vegetarian to eating meat again!? I'd like to start out with seafood, first!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you should talk to a nutritionist about this one!. It could very well make you sick if you just start eating meat, even seafood!. Your body is not used digesting meat, so it would be hard on your stomach!.
Hope things work out for your best interest!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's not the animal blood that will cause the sickness, but its your current lack of enzymes capable of digesting meat that will get you sick!.

It's painless switching to a vegan diet, short of allergies, there's not really anything about that diet that will get you ill!. Switching back from vegetables, fruits and grains, to meat, however, WILL get you sick!. In nature, animals understand what not to eat by the way their bodies react to it!. Why would you consider willingly going back to eating foods which your own body tells you it doesn't want to eat!?

Seems a bit unnatural, doesn't it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think your friends are right!. Start with salmon once a week or once every two weeks!. Eating meat again WILL give you upset stomach after such a long absence!. Expect to experience stomach cramps, diarrhea and constipation once you start again!. If you can stomach it(no pun intended) then you can start back eating chicken in small doses!. For example, eat a dish with chicken in it not totally made of chicken!. Then later if your stomach does alright and the rest of your body doesn't self-destruct from the shock (pimples, weight gain, hair loss, etc!.) introduce a little red meat too!. Good luck, but I don't think it's good to start eating meat again this day in age because of the mad cow outbreak and the recent bird flu issues!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

To be on the safe side, start out slowly!. Just eat meat/fish 2-3 times per week to make sure you don't have any digestive issues!. You might want to consider eating very small portions of meat with bread, rice, or veggies!.
Many people just start back eating meat like they never stopped!. I don't have any personal experience, but I stopped eating meat in a similar fashion, so it seems like that would work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

But why!? I don't understand how people who are veg, who know just how awful the meat industry is, and for some reason decide to start eating meat again!.

Chances are you will get sick if you try to convert back, but it's your body and your life!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try white meat only for a while!.
also remember, it's all about your attitude!.
If you really believe in what you are doing it will be easy :)
Meat is good for the body, and that's why most nutritionists aren't vegitarians!.
I wish you luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think your friends are lying to you!. I was a vegetarian for about a year and I felt great when I started eating meat again!. So much more energy than when I was a vegetarian!. I picked up my meat eating with Whopper Jrs!. Or maybe it was tuna!. One of the two!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Seafood sounds reasonable to me!. Just take it slow and work up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Only eat meat when you crave it, and eat what you crave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
