I am glad your heart has been moved concerning the abuses done to animals!. Veganism are ways to help alleviate this abuse!. Not only this it is also the most environmentally sustainable and healthy dietary lifestyle you can choose!.

The key is to be educated!. Research more on not only why one might want to be vegan but also just as important is how!. If you do your research right and learn to know what to buy and cook not only will you be making so much easier on yourself but you're family and friends are libel to give you a lot more slack!.

You don't necessarily have to announce it to the world just start making vegan choices like Tofu, setein, tempeh, black beans, chic peas, soy, nuts, and quinoa in substitute of the meat!.

Make sure you use complex carbohydrates like brown rice and whole wheat breads as well as sprouted grains were available!. Avoid the whites and refined grains like the plaque!.

Don't worry it takes a long time to completely change the way you eat!. It will be a struggle but eventually if you keep at it you'll find your grove!.

Take heart at knowing you have a whole community behind you if you ever need help!.

Right at this moment you are just another person who's finally seen that the world of food isn't all sunshine and rainbow-happy land!.

You cannot control the world, nor can you control your family and their decisions in life!.

If you choose to be a vegan then it is up to you to research everything you can on it from health/culture/environmental benefits and see how your current beliefs can fit in with your possible new lifestyle!. Otherwise you'll find a way to forget or downplay this new experience and you'll go back to eating meat in a week!.

"Well, I can still eat meat as long as I feel guilty/thankful for their sacrifices!"

Changing your diet to vegan is not about a "I'm better than you" to your family or anyone else; this is about you eating what you feel is morally/ethically/scientifically 'better' and being a humble example for your family and friends!.

Then and only then they might consider your choices to be something to learn from!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The first thing you need to do is get as much info as possible about becoming vegetarian!. Do your research and make sure you know how to properly plan your diet so it is healthy and nutritionally complete!. When and if your parents ask you questions or have concerns about the transition you can ease their fears with fact based information!.

Be prepared to cook for yourself, you cannot expect mom or dad to take on full responsibility for your diet!. While they should be making sure you are eating adequately, it should be up to you to plan out what you are going to eat, and either help mom/dad cook it or cook it for yourself!.

Dont do it!. If you become vegetarian they aint going to feed you no more and you'll probably have to make your own food!. However if you decide to go ahead and become vegetarian, imagine how you gonna feel when you get the cravings for chicken wings!. You dont get much choices in food being a vegetarian, even worse if you're a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
