Vegans and pasta? a little help please....?!

Question: Vegans and pasta!? a little help please!.!.!.!.!?
I've just turned vegan about 5 weeks ago and I was just wondering if it was ok to make pasta!. The ingredients of the pasta is durum wheat semolina, except it says 'may contain traces of egg and soy'!.!.!. is it ok to eat!?

I've been told they only write that on the packets incase of an allergy to egg and soy!. Is it ok!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
What does it say on the ingredient list!? If it says "egg" as a stand alone ingredient (as a lot of pasta does) then it is not vegan!. If there is no mention of egg in the ingredient list other than what you stated than it is vegan and has just been processed on equipment that also produces stuff that contains eggs like another type of pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

when it says "may contain traces of milk", it basically means that it's manufactured either on shared equipment or in the same plant!. So the product is vegan; you're right that it's mainly for allergy or kosher information!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think that since you already bought the food you should eat it, and in the future you should buy pasta that is 100% dairy free!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
