I want to be vegetarian, but my family eats meat on a daily basis. Any tips?!


Question: I want to be vegetarian, but my family eats meat on a daily basis!. Any tips!?
i usually eat meat too,
but i feel like im being mean to animals!.

ive found a great veggie food
that i would eat anyday over meat,

but what if i get tired of it!?

Answers:
1!. Make up your mind you are definitely going to do so!.

2!. You need not inform anyone you are not eating meat but simply eat healthy vegetarian or vegan options

3!. Research to solidify why indeed you are going vegetarian!. usually it is for 1 to 3 of these reasons, ethics, environmental, and or health!.

4!. Education: Make sure you have all the information you need to be healthy!. If you don't you'll parents and friends will give you a really hard time!.

5!. Getting enough protein: Rice and Beans, Soy, tofu, setein, tempeh, quinoa, brocolli (40% protein), variety of nuts, corn and amaranth, etc!.

6!. Complex carbs: avoid white rices and breads and eat instead brown or wild rices as well as whole wheat and sprouted breads!.

7!. Avoid refined foods: If you give up pop and other highly processed foods found in "foods" like dorittos, cookies, white sugar etc you will fare much much better and thank yourself for it in the future!.

8!. Get connected with a community: These people can not only be a source of knowledge but also will encourage you as well as giving you a sense of belonging!.

9!. Learning to cook for yourself: Get a vegan cook book and try one new recipe a week!. Before a few months are over you'll be like a culinary expert and will impress the family!.

10!. Learn to shop for the right foods: Make sure you get plenty of fresh veggies and fruits!. Eat a portion of these raw every day!.

go to the store and buy veggie burgers and chic patties

The have veggie meat great for tacos
and veggie strpis of fake csteak and chicken
and veggie BBQ ribs!.

Plus if you fry your tofu and put your favorite sauce over it is is delicious

But just read the ingridents on everthing before you buy it cause you have to comment!.

And sometimes they put animal products in food!.

Like hostess puts animal fat in all of their products!.

in being vegetarian or vegan, you eat the same variety of foods you do if you eat meat, so you shouldn't worry about getting tired of it!.

in my opinion, the best way to go veg is to just stop eating meat all together, or "cold turkey" as they say!.

just go to the store, find some fake meats to start out with and just start replacing the real meat with the fake meat!. Don't expect it to taste exactly like it, that you may have to get used to (not that it's an aquired taste, just because it's different)!. But just keep trying new foods and it'll start feeling like second nature to you soon enough!.

The worst thing you could do is make the switch and then eat your mystery veggie food non-stop!. Of course you'll get tired of it!.

There's a trillion cookbooks out there for vegetarians and lots of good recipes online!. Take the time to look through them and collect some appealing recipes before you make the switch!.

also, make a list of non-recipe things you'd like as well!. This could be anything from egg and cheese sandwiches to bananas!.

Once you have a lot of options for variety, then just do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you REALLY feel sorry for the animals; you can do it!.
if you cant do it, your not dedicated and don't TRULY feel sorry for them
not being able to do something means you dont really want to!.

You are just like me!. My family eats meat EVERYDAY!!! Im only 14 and cant controll what my parents buy but my mom cares at least and buys me my veggie food!. If you can get it, buy the veggie foods!. It may get repetitive but its better!. And its actually not THAT repetitive!. dont worry just try being one and if it doesnt work it doesnt!. But im confident you can become one!.

go to peta2!.com and peta!.com there are some very graphic videos, that will get u to switch!. you tell your parents this is what you really want to do and that you will cook for yourself so that you don't have to 2 meals!. Being 12 myself it is difficult so you just might want to start small like no meat for lunch!. Then no red meats!. Then no meat at all!. you cna't just drop it all at once that would be too hard!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

And you can never have too much fruit!.
Just try something new each week!.
