Are apples alive when you buy them from the store?!

Question: Are apples alive when you buy them from the store!?
Answers:
Many on here are confusing animal life with plant life!. Apples are the ovum of the apple tree flower!. Nothing is killed by picking one!. The cells in the fruit remain alive after picking!. The seeds remain alive for a much longer time!. If the flower was fertilized before the apple started to form the seeds will be capable of growing into another apple tree!.

BTW: Fruitarians eat only the ovum of a plant, like an apple, because they want to eat life not death!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are alive, but not in the way that animals are alive!. individual fruit cells in the apple are still alive and functioning!. They can stay this way for months if kept in cold storage!. The seeds in the apple core can stay alive for years and produce another tree if planted!. Apple trees, and other fruit barring trees produce fruit to feed animals, The animal eats the fruit and walks away!. In a few days the animal deposits the seed in its poo and hopefully another tree starts to grow from the seed!.

BTW: the brown spots on apples are where the fruit cells have died, and started to decay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Any fruit starts dying as soon as they are picked!. Just because apples can't talk it doesn't mean they aren't alive!.

Depends on what store you buy them from as to how fresh they are, apples are often stored in coolrooms for months before appearing on the shelves!. Its why apples are on the shelves all year around and not just when they are in season!. How alive will it be after being kept for months!. Some places even have fruit dipped in fungicide so it's shelf life is extended - how healthy is that!?

Your best bet is to stay away from major grocery suppliers, look for organic apples or the best bet is to buy directly from the growers, you can even pick your own!. That way you know that they are the freshest they can be!.

I am a former chef and now a lacto-ovo vegetarian, and I see people asking these kinds of questions, and for a being or entatey to feel pain they must first have a central nervous system with pain reseptors, plants and tree's and other veg, have no nerves or blood to carry the pain elements, fruit and veg unfortunatley cannot feel pain like animals and humans, I think the senseless questions about this hype of situation are a waste of time and effort!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
