Best way to get moisture out of tofu?!

Question: Best way to get moisture out of tofu!?
Answers:
I have two glass cutting boards I put doubled paper towels on the bottom!. I slice the tofu into two or three slabs, then lay it on the paper towels!. Put paper towels on top, then the other board!. Start putting weight on it, like a can, then a pitcher of water!. You can wring out the paper towels to help soak up the liquid, or just set it all in the sink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use cheesecloth rather than a paper towel, I put the tofu in the cheese cloth and press it!.

Line a medium sized, round colander with a cheese cloth or a clean dish towel!. Place the tofu in the colander!. Place another cheese cloth over the top of the tofu!. Place the colander over the top of a bowl to catch the liquid!. Place a heavy weight on top of tofu!. Refrigerate the colander, tofu and weight for 2 to 3 hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a flat-bottomed colander, and I line with paper towels!. I put the tofu block on that (I don't cut it), put more paper towels on top, and then put an unopened 32-oz tetra pak of soy milk or something on top!. I leave that for about 30-45 minutes at least while I'm doing other stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The weighted paper towel thing is what I do to!. I also change the paper towels a few times!.

I wish somebody would invent a tofu moisture sucking machine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use the same method!.!.!.weights on a thick slab of paper towels!.!.!. For weights i take a stack of plates and flip them upside down on top of the block of tofu!.!.!.I usually do not cut it before hand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
