Answers:
No!. I just tell them I stopped eating meat, dairy, and eggs for ethical reasons!. I rescue and raise chickens as pets and it's kind of hard to raise chickens and still eat chicken!. So I went vegan!. I DO eat the eggs my chickens lay because my chickens are free range, well fed, and live very happy lives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it's something you're embarassed to get into, because you want to avoid confrontation, you could just tell them that you do it for "health reasons" and "good nutrition", and if they start to argue with you, explain to them that it's you're choice and it works for you!. People will generally leave this alone faster than any ethical reason, because it's pretty hard to argue against someone who just wants to be healthier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well I am Vegetarian !.!. but almost Vegan!.!.!. and I am not embarrassed to tell someone I don′t eat any animals!.!. are you embarrassed to tell someone you eat ANIMALS !?!?!?!?
I mean you should respect every ones opinion about that!.!. and not just say!.!. omg!.!. how can you don′t like it and!.!.!. why all that stuff!.!.!. just accept it!.!. and everything is okay!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not really!.!.!. I'm not embarassed OR proud of it!. It's simply a choice I made in life, like choosing to stay away from drugs!. Would I be embarassed not to do drugs!? No!. Same with being a vegan!.

It does annoy me when people try to question me though!. Whenever someone tries to bother me about being a vegan, all I do is ask them if they really want me to start lecturing them on why it's wrong to eat meat or if they just want to enjoy their hamburgers while I enjoy my boca burger!. If they insist, I give them the horror story and be like you made me do it! But I'm always honest!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Heck no! I am a loud and proud feminist vegan--gotta problem with that!?

The only reason I might hesitate in describing myself as vegan is if I've been dragged to an omni restaurant, and the person looks as if s/he might not have a clue of what "vegan" means!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I'm never embarrassed because being vegan is a large part of my identity now and I love it!. It also took a lot of research and motivation on my part!. If I was embarrassed I wouldn't have put the effort into it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm vegetarian, and I used to be embarrased to tell people, especially at church!. But then I realized that its a really hard thing to do to be vegetarian, and I bet they couldnt do it!. So I should be proud of it!. And I am!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a vegetarian for 9 years!. When people find out, they always ask me why I am!. The only embarrassing thing is that I don't have a good story of why I am, I just decided one day that eating animals was disgusting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its what you bolive in if you want to be a vegan then go for it dont care about what people say bout it its you life you can do what the hell you like (within reasen lol) just live life to the full!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am never embarrassed, but I try to duck the questions like "why are you vegan!?" They frequently arise at social gatherings where food is being served, and I find such discussions distasteful and anti-productive!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
