in fact, everyone else loves meat!.
except me!.
and at my dads house,
my grandma makes meals all the time
and they are really good
but they are usually involving meat!.

im 15, and obviously still live at home
and i think it would cause a big fuss
and it would be hard to arange food
choices around me!.

should i still go veggie!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
wow, im 14 and just stopped eating meat!.

i really wanted to do it, and I was the only one in the family!. While they ate the main dish (with meat), I would either eat by my self or eat any sub dishes with no meat like salad

if you really want to convince you're family to be a vegetarian, make them watch this video (WATCH ONLY IF YOU HAVE STRONG STOMACH) http://youtube!.com/watch!?v=razdgagIp3U

it may be hard at first to stop eating meat
you can only do it if you actually want to and the hardest part is
1!. No support from family
2!. Eating with friends
3!. Visiting Foreign Country
4!. Always asking if theres any meat in that
5!. The will

You should definitely go vegetarian if you want to; don't eat meat just because your family does!. It may be rough for a couple weeks to get your family to be a little flexible with your food choices, and for those weeks your choices may not be so exciting!. Try making suggestions to those who do the grocery shopping for things you like and will still eat, but that your family might enjoy, too!. If you are confronted negatively, try not to make a big deal about your vegetarianism; stick to your "guns," but try not to fight about it - it's your choice! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

iam a veterarin 2 but sometimes when theres meat on my foods ijust pick the meat off but they dont take it seriously but if u dont tell any1 they will keep fixing foods u dont like !. like meat !. but heres a few ideals for foods without meat !. pizzia without the meat like a verterain pizza they have them at domiinos!. and veggie bars with vegiableas and cream which is very good!. u can also go 2 some past issues of seventeen for food advice since your a veterian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

At 15 your old enough to tell your family what you want to eat!. Standing up for what you believe is always great and not eating meat is fantastic! Eat another side dish of veggies and start looking at recipes on line and in veggie magazines!. This is a good time for you to learn to cook if you haven't already!. And finally just tell your family that "yes I will get enough protein in my diet"!. This is always thrown out there!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would wait till you're 18 and doing more meals for yourself!. also at this point your body is still growing and maturing and you need to make sure you're gettign all the right nutrients!. I'm not saying vegetarians can't, my bf is one, it's just harder, especially if you're doing it on your own without a lot of family support!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go for it! I went veg at 16 and still at home!. My mom cooked most of the meals and was very supportive!. She would set aside part of what she was making before meat was added or would substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth in recipes!. And there are many recipes that don't have meat in them at all!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want to be vegetarian then go for it!. Have a plan though, because you will probably need to fend for yourself in planning meals!. If you plan right you will still totallly get all the nutrients you need to stay healthy!.

Ive been veggie for more than 15 years and have never regretted it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

ofcourse!.!.!. dats a gud decision!.!.!.turning veggie not only gives the satisfaction that u respect all the creatures, but is good for ur health too!.!.& if u ask whether the vegs supply all the nuritional components!.!.the answer is yess!! but the amount may differ & so is the absorption in the body!.!.!.but still u vl have more benefits!.!.!.if i knew ur origin!.!. cud giv better suggestion!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You will need to start cooking main dishes for yourself that you can eat with the family's meals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

YES! I am 17 and went vegan!. That means no dairy or eggs either!. My sister went vegetarian when I went vegan is she is only 11!. My dad and his girlfriend are BIG flesh eaters!. So I make all of our meals separately!. It's really not as hard as you think!. I keep veggie burgers on hand for nights that are busy and keep a Tupperware container of chopped lettuce in the fridge so we can have salad whenever we want!. Pasta with plain sauce or veggie sauce is easy and fast too!. I make up hummus and pasta salad on the weekends for my sister's after school snacks!. Preparation is really the key to eating separately from your family!. Nights that I cook we have no-meat balls, no-meat loaf, curried rice and veggies, vegan stir fry, veggie lasagna etc!.

What I recommend is starting out slowly with your family!. Maybe with some convenience soy products!. This way you avoid meat without making a fuss in the kitchen!. Do your research and show your family you will still be eating a balanced diet(Yes, mom and dad I will still get my protein)!. After that you can start cooking with tofu by yourself!. There are some great recipes on the Internet!. If you can get to a health food store you can stock up on vegetarian bullion, vegetarian gravy, beans, whole grains and some tofu!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
