Can you freeze Vegan Gourmet cheese alternative?!
Answers:
Yep! I do it all the time to make sure it doesn't go bad if I don't want to use it for a while (because Vegan Gourmet molds FAST)!. You can freeze it in a whole block if you want, but then you'll have to thaw it out a lot longer, so cutting it up and putting it in an airtight container like Gladware is best (definitely no plastic baggies!)!.
The thing about freezing Vegan Gourmet is that the texture changes once you take it out and unthaw it, kinda like tofu!. It may or not may affect what you're making with it, but just thought I'd throw it out there so you're not surprised if the cheese is a little stiffer when it comes out!.
Hope that helped! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Although I haven't tried it, my guess it no!. Real cheese doesn't even freeze well, so I don't think the soy cheese would!. I tried freezing a soy yogurt once and it got really icky!
!.!.!.Vegan Gourmet seriously is the best vegan cheese though, eh!?!? You have great taste! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you can!. Someone at Whole Foods told me this is a good way to prevent the cheese from getting moldy too soon!. They said to cut the cheese into 9 squares and freeze each one separately!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
