Question: We see that all edible products are labeled with a green dot symbol as its veg!?
but almost all of such labeled products contain gelatin!.why the manufacturers or the quality checkers mark the product as non-vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The green dot is considered to indicate vegetarian - not vegan!. Gelatin, although it comes from animals (and cannot be obtained without their death) is still considered by some to be vegetarian just as egg dishes and milk dishes are consided to be vegetarian!. Gelatin is not vegan since it comes from an animal source, like eggs and milk!.

Veganism considers anything that comes from a living being to not be adiquate for food, clothes, or entertainment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tha'ts strange!. The products with gelatin should be marked with a red dot!.
