Question: Vegan question, please help!!?
I've been a vegetarian for a while now!. My intention is to become a vegan, but i thought it would be better on my body to gradually ease into it!.
My question is, how long should i wait until it would be okay for me to become a vegan!?

It probably won't make a difference if you make a quick switch!. When I went from vegetarian to vegan after only 8 months of being veg, I had just finished watching the video "Meet Your Meat," and I immediately ran to my refrigerator and removed all egg and dairy products!. I did all my research about by-products a couple minutes later and removed a few more things from my fridge, and never went back!. I never had any health problems because of it, I actually started to feel a whole lot better within a few days!. :)

Most people who go vegan slowly do it for taste reasons!. If it's very difficult to give up ALL non-vegan foods at once, it's easier to give up cheese this week, milk next week, eggs next week, etc!. But as far as your body's reaction to going cold turkey, or "cold tofu," and it's traditionally called by vegans, I'm pretty sure everything will be just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's really up to you!.!.!. I know a few people who went from meat-eater to vegan overnight, and I also know many people who took several (or more) months to make a gradual transition!. It took me about three or four months to make the transition altogether!.

Maybe you could start out by going vegan one day a week, and then the next week increase it to two days a week!.!.!. etc!. Or if there are certain foods you think will be very hard to give up, keep eating those and start by cutting out the other animal products from your diet!.

There's no need to wait a certain amount of time to go vegan!. Just take it at your own pace and do what feels right for you!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

how long should you wait!?
thats completely up to you!. I've been vegetarian for 5 years and only NOW becomeing vegan with the impending birth of my first child!. Other people at our "meet-up" went vegan right away!. I'm going to try my best to have my child vegan from birth (he/she gets the choice in a couple decades)!. So whatever works for you!. It will be a hard transition as I am finding out--but I'm sure it will be well worth it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't need to wait!. I went from being a huge meat eater to vegan over night with no problem at all!. Since you're already eating a vegetarian diet, there's nothing your body needs to "adjust to" to cut out the additional animal products you are currently consuming!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I went from vegetarian to vegan all at once!. I don't see a need to go into it gradually other than if it would be easier for you to get used to preparing vegan food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't need to wait!. I know people who have gone straight from meat eater to vegan!. You *can* ease into it and just use your own common sense to decide how to do it, but you don't have to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don'tthink that it will affect your body in any negative manner!. Being vegan is one of the healthiest lifestyles in existence!.!.!. When I became vegan I did it overnight!.!.!. You won't regret it at all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

um probly right away my brothers kid has been one his whole life well he is only 5 lol but he has never had tasted any animal products and he is doing just fine i would think u could start today if you really wantWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's up to you! I skipped vegetarian and just went vegan without any side effects!.!.that i know of ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

At the time you decide to do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just go for it!.!.!.I did!.!.!.no side effects and I feel better than ever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
