Question: Should domesticated animals be seen as ambassadors to humans & the rest of the animal kingdom!?
It sure seems the case to me but many of our kind are not at present seeing this connection!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They sure are somehow!. As you get to know those awesome creatures that live in your house and share and interact with you, you become more interested in all animals and their welfare!. At least, it worked that way for me !.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!

They are a terrible example of animals, WE have bred them to a stage where they are no longer able to do the things they would do in nature!. WE have bred them to have physical characteristics that cause them pain and suffering!. WE have taken away their real opportunity to have kin networks, natural environments, the whole range of skills and experiences they need!. We have taken away their ability to survive without us!.

Animals are equal to us, as are all other living things and non living systems!. An animal has intrinsic value for just being an animal, not for what it can provide for man!.

I think domesticated animals should be seen as one of mankind's worst mistakes, not just for domesticated animals but also for humans too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Domesticated animals tend to have very little contact with the rest of the animal kingdom!. My cat hates other cats and other animals and chooses to only have contact with humans even though she goes outside frequently!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Centuries of inbreeding and removal of undesirable traits have gone into making domestic animals very different from their wild counterparts!. It's hard to make many valid comparisons at a non emotional level!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not the entire animal kingdom, maybe just their own species, whichever species that domesticated animal belongs to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is way too deep for my about to be hungover, frazzled brain right now!.
Good Luck with it tho!. ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com
