Have you ever experienced not liking soda beverages now that you're a vegetarian or a vegan?!
I'm on a modified vegetarian diet as I'm slowly making the transition!. My soda drinking has taken a back seat to more water drinking!. On at least 3 or 4 occasions I've noticed that whenever I attempt to drink a soda I end pouring it out!. Doesn't matter if it's a sprite, pepsi, mountain dew, or coca cola!. For some reason I no longer enjoy the taste of sodas!. Do you think my diet change has something to do with it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It was a root canal and a few cavities that made me wary of soda!. I never had tooth issues until I started drinking the crap!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
well its common sense that whether or not your choice to become a vegetarian based soley on health or not, your still going to feel healthy being a vegetraian so you wouldnt want to ruin that healthy feeling by drinking soda!. I mean occassionaly you might but its all physcology really!. Th vegtarians I see do eat alot though and a lot of times they will eat junk food!. I just dont think they would waste calories on a drink!. try diet soda you get use to it trust me i never thought i would and i did!. Most vegetarian would take the choclate over the soda!. But to answer your question simply, occassionaly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think so!. I drank soft drinks for the first two years after I became vegetarian, but they started to seem too sweet for me!. I think I became more conscious of the fact that I was eating something that they had no nutritional value!. Plus, there was something about consuming a substance that people use to take rust off of batteries that made me wonder what it was doing to my body!.
So, I haven't had a soft drink in five years now (except when I had a sip at the Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta last year and went "Bleh!"), and I've never looked back!. I drink water 95 percent of the time, and it's better than any soft drink I've ever had!.
Anyway, this is your body's way of telling you that not wanting soft drinks is a good thing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Probably, the more healthy and fresh things you put into your body - the more it craves it!. When you wernt vegiatean/vegan you were probably eating a lot more unlealthy things, take outs, things with lots of salt, high sugar, all of those make you crave sugary drinks!.!.!.!. Take those away and you start to crave just pure water, and sometimes drinking too much sugary things actually gives you a headach and can make you feel sick if you are not used to it!.

Yes, I do!. Getting off sodas is one of the best things you can do for yourself because of the sugar content!. From what I've read, sugar throws off every organ in your body, making them work a whole lot harder!. When I stopped drinking Sundrops I had headaches for 3 days from the caffeine withdrawal!. And besides that sodas don't count as water in the body!. They along with coffee and tea are diuretic and make your body lose water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It definitely does!. The reason you're pouring it out is because you're able to actually taste what you are drinking now!. And you are simply following the advice of your own taste buds!.
Soda is basically sugar, ascorbic acid, citric acid, and high fructose corn syrup!. There is no nutritional value to any of these substances, so your body cannot compare it to your transition diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Drank it before and sometime thereafter, but the healthier my diet became, the more I just could not swallow such junkfood stuff!. It's a good way to know just how healthy a person is!.!.!. if they can actually swallow such garbage, they likely are really not very healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes I've gone "off" soda since becoming vegan!. For me I think it has to do with the fact that I no longer eat junk food and my taste buds have become more sensitive!. Soda tastes awfully sweet to me now!. It also gives me a headache!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I never really had a thing for fizzy soda drinks!. I'm a big fan of lemon tea and lemon ice tea, but water would have to be my favourite beverage of all time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am new to vegetarianism as well!.
