Semi vegetarian?!
I sometimes feel like not eating any animal products at all for long periods of time!. That would probably cause me problems considering my diet would be inconsistent and then eventually unbalanced!. But, I really eat what I feel like and is that bad!? I take multi vitamin daily!.!. i think that should do some good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegetarian and I find that variety is very important!. I get all my protein and amino acids from plants! "Eating what you feel like" is more troubling if you only eat processed food!. I suggest that you eat balanced grains like Quinoa for example all the time!. It's delicious! It would be great for a meat eater to eat balanced grains too!. Everyone needs to eat lots of veggies!.
I don't think that your body will respond negatively to your inconsistent meat consumption if you incorporate good veggies and grains all the time anyway!. Easier for your body to get vitamins from food than pills but they can't hurt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not really!. Given that we are decended from herbivores that only grew to tollerate meats due to the food shortages in the ice age (looking at our guts we find our digestive tract alone is far too long, too slow, and too alkaline to digest animal proteins and high fat foods without high toxicity keytones slowly shutting down overtaxed kidneys and liver), anyone that claims we need animal products is full of bullshit!.
That being said, it's not their fault: They aren't wrong because they're stupid, they were just taught all their lives this was the norm!. In reality, all you have to do is glance at the biology of herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores and see for yourself which catagory we belong in!.
Take a multivitamin and make sure you sleep well!. Oatmeal, nuts, seeds, and vegetables give you more than you need of proteins, carbohydrates, and essential fats!. In fact, onions (not counting early-picked, over-farmed white onions) water, and salt can sustain a human being indefinately, with only minor, and suprisingly livable defficiencies in carbohydrates and fats - I would just not recomend that!. You're gonna feel a lot better without the "animal products" than with!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All of us need to be eating lower on the food chain to protect the environment!. Beyond that, make the food choices that make sense to you!. Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds and obsessing over obscure materials used during the manufacturing process is a kind of religious hysteria in my opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
