Why Did You Become Vegan?!
Answers:
I stopped eating meat for health reasons only!.To me,those who do it for political reasons are just as whacked in the head as bible thumpers are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I found out how animals are treated in the egg and dairy industries, and didn't want to support it!.

I also met a former free-range egg farmer who told me that any hen's egg production declines dramatically at 15 months!. She said that it would just not be economically feasible to allow unproductive hens to "retire"!. So all commercially-raised egg-laying hens (including those on free range farms) are slaughtered when their production rates decline!. also, male chicks are useless to the industry since they don't produce eggs!. They're killed by suffocation in plastic bags or are thrown into grinders while still alive!.
Another reason I became vegan was the dairy/veal connection!. Cows don't produce milk unless they're pregnant!. Male calves are useless to the dairy industry because they don't produce milk!. So whenever a dairy cow gives birth to a male calf, that calf is turned into veal!.
Health issues did play a role in my decision to become vegan!. High cholesterol runs in my family and vegan diets are cholesterol-free (since cholesterol is only found in meat, eggs, and dairy products)!. But the animal issues were really what motivated me to make the switch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
