Question: Do some peple need to eat meat!?
I'm a vegetarian, but we were having this debate in school and I was arguing that some people physically need to eat meat!. Does anybody know what is true!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Human beings do not need to eat meat, as long as they have options!.
Scientists know that the diet of any animal corresponds to its physiological structure!. Human physiology, bodily functions, and digestive system are completely different from those of carnivorous animals!.!.
After much recent study and research, scientists have concluded that our early ancestors were vegetarians who ate no meat except during periods of extreme crisis!.it was only during the last ice age, when their normal diet of fruits, nuts, and vegetables was unavailable that the early humans had to start eating animal flesh in order to survive!. unfortunately the custom of eating meat continued after the ice age, either by necessity (like the eskimos and tribes who live in the far north), through habit, through conditioning, or through lack of proper knowledge!.

Iron is the main benefit of red meat!. also protein and amino acids (building blocks of protein) are important componets of red meat!. Spinach contians iron, and most nuts contain protein and amino acids!. You may get supplements of these in any health store!. But you certainly can't live (heathfullly) with out them totally!. As far as people that can't physically live with out meat, I don't believe that to be true!. Excluding some rare genetic disorder that MAY exist, anyone can live with a healthy vegetarian diet, even with out supplements!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not aware of any medical conditions that would require a person to eat meat!.

Actually, all meat, even seafood is bad for the human body!. It carries many toxins in it, and the ONLY thing people can say that's potentially good about it is that it has protein!. So what!? Protein is found in fruits and vegetables!. And too much protein actually leaches calcium from your body and makes you fat!.

So, my answer is no!. Nobody needs to eat meat!. It's just a cop out to promote animal cruelty and the gross taste of burnt flesh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i'm vegetarian too!. there are illnesses you can get like anemia but its lack of iron all you need to do is take vitamins!.you dont actually HAVE to eat meat!. you can die from anemia but no one needs to eat meat!. eggs, milk, soy they have protien and good nutrients tooWww@FoodAQ@Com

this is the 21st century people, i am a healthy vegan!. there are sooo many supplements and vitamins out there!. all this you cant live without meat crap is bullshit! if you arent healthy about it though it can be dangerous!. make up for the protein and calcium provided in meat with a stable diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

not many do but my mum does because she's low in vitamin something!. Even taking tablets she still has to eat meat!.
