Hair question for vegetarians!?!

Question: Hair question for vegetarians!!?
Has being a vegetarian caused any hair problems for you!?
I'm curious because I became a vegetarian last October and I've noticed thinning and other problems with my hair!.
Is there a connection!?
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
By cutting out meat, you're cutting out a lot of proteins from your diet that help your hair stay nice and full and shiny and whatnot!.

Try eating more nuts (almonds are yummy, especially toasted ones in cinnamon) or soy, and see what happens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

my hair thinned considerably but my hair was super thick to start with so it wasnt a major issue and i actually didnt mind the thinning!. it made my hair a lot easier to manage! try eating more protein if your hair continues to thin, but i think you'll see a plateau and your hair will stop thinning at a certain point!. don't worry your hair wont all fall out, and truthfully you're probably the only one that notices the thinning anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need protein, nuts would be your best source as they also have oils that are good for your hair!. (If you also have dryness, pour a beer on your wet hair after washing it and then towel dry!. The smell of the beer will go away after it dries!. You can also use vinegar to rinse your hair with for softness and moisture, just don't get it in your eyes!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, my hair is thinning, slowly over 18 years!.!.!. so is it genetic or stress or my diet!? Have no idea, but I did take a one year vacation to another country and it all grew back!. I was eating differently (still vegan), the weather was different (much hotter), the water was different, and I was basically stress free!.!.!. so!.!.!.

Could be diet!. Sure!.

You may be experiencing a change in hormones!. Hormones really affect hair in females!. Such as when women become pregnant, their hair can start just falling out in clumps (but evenly, not in one balding spot)!.

Some things to consider!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well I'm a 52yo vegetarian and I have twice as much hair as my 45yo meat eating brother!. Make sure your eating a balanced vegetarian diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm newly vegetarian and noticed thinness and dryness!. But I started eating tons of almonds and the dryness disappeared!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a vegetarian for 18 years and never had any problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My hair has always grown like weeds, and going vegan hasn't changed that a bit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

nope, no problem!

you might not be getting enough protein, or calories in general!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nope, my hair is the same it has always been!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

there might be!.
sorry i am not a vegatarian, so i wouldn't knowWww@FoodAQ@Com
