It tastes like chickpeas, if you've ever had them, but a little salty and with a bit of lemon thrown in!. It's very good and refreshing, but it really depends on the brand!.
I love Trader Joe's hummus, especially the one that has no sesame tahini in it - even though sesame tahini is a key part in most hummus, for some reason this one is extraordinary!. Otherwise, I like just about any hummus just fine except roasted red pepper flavor!.
If you want to try to make it yourself before you splurge on a whole tub of it at the store, try a recipe like this one:
http://mideastfood!.about!.com/od/appetize!.!.!.
You can get organic sesame tahini at Whole Foods for a very reasonable price, and since you only use a little bit when you make hummus, it's well worth it and saves you money in the long run!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love Hummus!. It's a mashed bean dip than goes good with crackers, pitas, and any Mediterranean "dipping food"!. They make different flavors, so depending on what you have with it,
that is what flavor you should choose!. It is more of for snacks and is salty!. You can get it at any Supermarket and is refrigerated, but NOT frozen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I LOVE hummus!. It's really good!. Since it has olive oil in it, I make my own at home because I get sick on any type of oil!. Yes, I'm sure it tastes better with it, but since I can't have it, it's actually fine without it!. I throw in about half an avocado and some crushed red pepper flakes and it is so yummy!!
Hope you enjoy it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
