Can you suggest websites with vegan recipies?!

Question: Can you suggest websites with vegan recipies!?
I would like to replace some of the meat in my diet with vegetables!. I lift weights and do cardio so protein is very important!. Basically I don't want to just eat a plain cup of lentils for each meat substitution and don't know anything about seasoning lentils or really what other substitutions could be made or how to prepare those other substitutions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm glad you recognize that protein is important, I started working out and completely stopped eating meat and did not have a grasp on the importance of protein!. Because of this I got sick and very moody!. Ever since I started gaining protein from simple things like : yogurt, instant breakfast with protein, nuts, cheeses, and veggie burgers I have felt better!.
There are lots of ways to substitute meat and still get all the benefits of meat!.

I'm glad to see you are making healthy choices, keep up the good work and I hope the websites help you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite is www!.vegweb!.com

Post Punk Kitchen (www!.theppk!.com) has a few recipes, but they also recommend you buy the books!.

RecipeZaar has a vegetarian and vegan section that's pretty good!.

Check out Organic Athlete!. I understand that it's a pro-veg site!. I haven't an athletic bone in my body, but hopefully you'll figure out how to keep in shape while relying on plant power!.

I have tips on how to avoid mushy tofu syndrome in my profile!. Tofu is an excellent source of protein, is fairly low-carb, and also low-fat!. Tempeh is an Indonesian food product made of fermented soybeans!. You can crumble it into a chili instead of beef, or you can marinate and grill it!. Seitan, a!.k!.a!., wheat meat, is a little trickier!. You make a dough from vital wheat gluten and simmer it in a broth or seasoned liquid!. The vital wheat gluten is wheat flour with almost all the starch removed, leaving protein!. You can cut it up into chunks or slices before simmering!. What you might want to do is start with Seitan Quick Mix from Harvest Direct!.

Many grocery stores, especially Whole Foods, and your local natural foods store will carry veggie burgers, veggie sausage, veggie deli slices, veggie crumbles, etc!., that are pretty easy to prepare!. The instructions for cooking are typically on the packaging!.
