Answers:
No you will not die by living on a carb, nut, fruit & veg diet!. there is an enoromous variety of veggies, fruits & nuts!. If you carefully consider your diet you will be fine!. This is the staple diet of many cultures who live happy and content lives, sans meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's also possible to die by eating meat!.!.!. Vegetarianism can be a perfectly safe choice!. However, the struggle for many vegetarians is to get enough protein (actually, enough so-called "complete" protein, with all seven amino acids)!. It's healthy to be a vegetarian if you know what to eat!. You need to do a lot more research: I suggest you see a good dietician who specializes in vegetarianism who can educate you about how to choose appropriate protein (usually combinations of vegetables and/or grains to get all the necessary amino acids)!. Soy is a complete protein, but there are other ways to get the protein you need!.

That said, if you don't get enough complete proteins, you will damage your health!. Proteins repair the body and rebuild cells!. Without all seven amino acids, you risk major health problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The main problem with a strict Vegan diet is Vitamin B shortage, but a vegetarian diet that includes milk or eggs usually supplies sufficient!.

There was a strict Vegan group in North Africa - Berber I think - who started getting B-group deficiencies when missionaries taught them better hygiene!. They had been getting most of their B vitamins from enteric bacterial contamination of their Vegan diet!. It is possible to die of a B-group deficiency syndrome!.

PS: following up other answers above - I have reservations about Soy products!. Vets recommend against feeding cats and dogs on foods that use Soy as a main source of protein because the alkalinity of Soy products predisposes the animals to kidney damage!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

"Is it possible to die without eating meat!?"
What the hell do you think vegetarians are!? Immortals!? ROFL

Well that's not so far from the truth!. Statistics have suggested that vegetarians on average live longer than meat-eaters!. It has been calculated that people that are vegetarian for 20 years gain almost 4 years in life-span!. The longer you're a vegetarian the more extra years you'll earn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are able to live but you would be with malnutrition you won't be as healthy!. There are lots of people who do not eat meat but you have to substitute with other products that have the same nutrients as meet ot sustain a healthy lifestyle!. Physically you would look drained out and although you won't be dead you may look dead!. So add more similar nutrients into your no meat lifestyle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The answer is to become really informed on what you are putting into your body!. You need 21 different amino acids to synthesize protein!. You can get them by just eating beans and rice!.!.!.!. but!.!.!.
That can get pretty bland!.
You need protein, so find other sources!. TVP is one made from soy!.
Do the research and get informed!.!.!. or you could die from protein anemia!. Ever see those kids in Africa with the distended bellies!? That is caused by no protein!.
Good luck

Well, when you say it that way, you probably will become malnourished!. But a vegetarian diet isn't limited to just a FEW food!. There is so much food that is not animal bi-products!.

Dude, how about not eating food at all!. If you want a diet that can kill you, how about Anorexia!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, but you will die quicker on a meat diet!.

Go vegan for life! Treat yourself to the best food that nature has to offer while always maintaining your ideal weight and never have to feel hungry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you subtract breast milk from the list, I believe it's perfectly possible!.
You can probably see it all the time in third world countries!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Non-meat sources of everything you need is abundant and will make you much healthier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know someone who's been vegetarian for 17 years and hasn't died!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

u just have to make sure u get enough protein from tofu and nuts and soy products!.!.then ull be fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

No, but I wouldn't recommend eating solely bread, water, nuts, and vegetables!. A plant-based diet (no meat, dairy, eggs, honey, etc!.) is perfectly healthy, and in fact, according to the American Dietetic Association, has health benefits, such as lower risks of high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, heart disease, and even some forms of cancer!. Vegan diets have also been used to help people suffering from asthma and arthritis!.

Even if you didn't consume soy, there are products like rice, almond, oat, and hemp milk (calcium, vitamin D, protein, etc!.), tempeh and seitan (fiber, complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins), tons of grain products, and of course, fruits, vegetables, and nuts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
