Are Amy's kitchen meals as healthy as they look?!
I'm a college student and although I'm not a vegetarian I enjoy vegetarian food!. On my campus they sell Amy's kitchen frozen foods and I bought several of them today using my campus cash (theres not much else healthy thats available on campus for me to spend it on)!. I know frozen food isn't the greatest thing for me to be eating but these meals look like their as healthy as you can get with frozen food!. Are Amy's kitchen meals ok to eat on a regular basis!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
I ate tons of Amy's frozen meals while working full time and attending culinary school 35 hours a week!. I was surrounded by food but never had time to eat any of it, lol!.
They're far better for you than your run of the mill frozen meals!. I really like the Mattar Paneer and the Veggie loaf!.
They do tend to be a little high in sodium (such is the catch with most frozen meals) but at Whole Foods, a few of them are low sodium (they have an orange band across the top of the box)!.
Kashi also has some pretty good frozen meals at around the same price!.
Better Amy's than Stauffer's!!! I think Amy's and Kashi taste way better anyway!
You could also try rounding out your meals with a green salad or some fruit, just to add a little bit of non-processed food to your diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes they're perfectly healthy!. Almost all their products are made with organic ingredients and they have very few, if any, preservatives!. Just watch out for the sodium and you'll be fine!. I agree they are the healthiest choice for frozen meals out there!. And damn good too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
They are not bad!. Some have a fair amount of fat!. Read the nutritional info that should help!. They are really tasty though!. The canned chili is awsome too, and vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Over all they are very good!. Tend to be a wee bit high in the fat(Cheese)!. If possible add some raw veggies(salad) as a side dish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
They are, but be wary of the sodium and fat!. Sodium is usually high in Amy's, the last I recall at least!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
