Vegan Change Causing Pain?!
I became a vegan today (oh yeah) and this how my diet!.
Breakfast: Steamed broccoli and cauliflower
Lunch: Fries
Dinner: Cooked rice mixed with cooked corn and diced peppers
Snacks: About 7 peaches and 3 bananas
Even though that doesn't seem to bad, I feel as if I'm about to throw up!. I don't see why this happening!. I've been a vegetarians for 6 months, so it's not like my body isn't used to so much fruit and veggies!. I cooked all the things that should be cooked, and ate all the things that could be eaten raw!. Is the pain that's causing that's causing my stomach ache normal is this an awkward situation to have on the first day!?

Good Grief where did you get the idea that being vegan meant eating only fruit and vegetables!? And who in their right mind eats 7 peaches and 3 bananas at one sitting!? You have created a methane factory in your intestine and it is no wonder that you are feeling in pain and are nauseated!. Your poor body!.

Rice and bananas cause constipation!. If you are constipated you can become nauseous!. If you ate 3 of them that is definately why!. Drink plenty of H20!. Try adding some whole grains to your diet!. You also did not eat any protein!. Protein also helps you move your bowels!. There are breakfast cereals that have protein in them, soy milk, yogurt, and other products, nuts, beans, etc!. Vegatarian burritos are great, they make vegetarian refried beans, with a tortilla, and all the veggies, soy cheese if you want!.!.!.!. I think you will have to get a little more creative with your diet choices!. Make sure you are still getting all your food groups while avoiding your animal by products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
your body isn't used to the new diet don't go vegan cold turkey even if you have been a vego for 6 months what you should do is take some calcium tablets and if they don't exgest try finding some thing else that has a calcium in it thats not milk your body needs calcium so find some!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I could go on but ya need to do some studying before you kill yoursef!. Goood luck/Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well it's just elimination it's like if you are a vegetarian for more than three months and you decide that your going to eat meat again it's not going to go down very well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You probably got a lot of intestinal gas from breakfast as those veggies are notorious for that!. You also may have too much fruit in your diet!. I think you would do better to have smaller amounts of the things you eat with more combinations instead of too much of one group at a meal!. Diet wise all meals need a grain and I would consider adding a leguminous/ bean food to give you a balance of amino acids for your protein!. Then get your veggies to add to it, leafy stuff as well as solid veggies!. Try to fit an oil in somewhere like an oil and vinegar dressing spiced to taste!. Both are really good for you!. You can have a couple fruit servings a day but have to watch your sugar intake!. Nothing wrong with a bit of dairy if sources are quality with no animal cruelty/ factory farming issues (soul food extract of good karma)!. Sour cream is great and can be used as a dressing as well as some cheeses and/ or yogurt!. A lot of good stuff in live cultures for your body and most of those things don't compromise your fat intake and cholesterol!. Eggs are great to use in cooking and will increase your recipe repertoires!. Simple breads might be a better breakfast as a bulk food and breads should be staple for all meals!. You need your grains every time you eat!. You will experience less discomfort with that as well as with more variety in food groups which will give your body more to work with!. Concentrating on a single food group at one sitting doesn't do you a lot of good!. also, watch your fruit juice consumption!. Too much sugar there if you over do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
