Question: Orange Juice and Silken Tofu Shake: will these ingredients mix!?
I know Orange Juice and milk will not mix!. I was thinking of making a orange juice with strawberry shake with silken tofu!. Do you know if these ingredients will mix!? I don't want to be eating fermented or spoiled anything!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it should be OK if you like oranges and cream flavored candy or treats!. Silken tofu is very plain and creamy, so you might want to sweeten it a bit and make it like a cream before putting it in!. It'll be like a milk shake though, not so much a smoothie!.

Milk and O!.J!. doesn't work well because they blend poorly and it looks and tastes unappetizing!. I've seen people use OJ in milkshakes (but they used ice cream or heavy cream instead)!. I think silken tofu texture-wise fits more towards the latter!.

Personally though, I don't like mixing creamy tasting food with citrus tasting food, I'd just keep it as a strawberry shake, at most add a few orange pieces or maybe canned mandarins but keep the acidity and citrus level low!. Maybe make it a berries and cream flavored smoothie instead!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
