Answers:
Yes, they are vegan but if you want a healthy alternative (with out all the high fructose corn syrup and other junk), a company called Late July makes a great Oreo type cookies that are full of much better stuff and they're organic too!. I really like them!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chocolate is from a plant; it's vegan until manufacturers add milk to it!.

Regular Oreos are vegan in the US!. They are not vegan in Europe!. I don't know about Canada!. When I first went vegetarian 20+ years ago, they had beef fat in them, but that changed quite some time ago!.

I don't know about the "cakesters!." Read the label or e-mail Nabisco (or whoever the heck makes Oreos!.)

Trader Joe's version, Jo Jo's, and Paul Newman's version, Newman-o's are also vegan!.

(To the guy above me, last time I checked Twinkies still had lard in them!. Or maybe it was beef tallow!. Either way, it's pretty disgusting!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes oreos are!. Twinkis are not!.
They are Nabisco Double Delight Mint'n Creme Oreos
Nabisco Ginger Snaps
Nabisco Halloween Oreos
Nabisco Iced Oatmeal Cookies
